In past years, if you arrived early enough in the morning (before festival gates open), there was parking available in the Doheny State Beach parking lot right where the concert is held.  That was soooo much more convenient than offsite shuttle (the lines to get on the buses after the show were a total nightmare).
this, and there is also street parking across the highway on some sidestreets. i'm sure that goes fast as well though. but like DOCC said in the past you could arrive early am and park right at the festival.
Around what time in the morning do you usually need to get there to get parking? I’m renting a car in LA and driving down so trying to figure out what time I need to hit the road.
i can't say honestly, i never did it. my guess would be early, 8 am or so. maybe earlier but i don't know.
Uff lol I was planning on getting there later in the afternoon both days. Thank you though. I have no problem walking a mile or two back to my car.

what time is curfew? Gotta imagine it can't be any later than 10 sharp yeah? So PJ goes on around 7-7:15?

late afternoon i can't see there being parking. maybe the street parking lasts but again i don't know for sure. yes, 10 sharp, hard to say on the time slot. i'm thinking 7 or 7:30-10 encore weekend, 8-10 weekend 1. you could take a shot at calling the doubletree and seeing if they have parking, hotel is sold out but not everyone brings a car.  they will park you as long as its available.  might be worth a call that day.

Thanks for the tips! Will give that a shot. Also scoping out the Costco/other plazas near the beach. Won't be leaving the car overnight so hoping it won't be an issue.

Coming in from CT and staying at an airbnb about 5 miles away. Bought the shuttle pass but I'm not sure where it will be. It looks like it might be on the opposite side of where I am staying and would take me longer to get to the shuttle than the concert. Maybe this thread can be used to get some carpools going too?

Great idea! I'm staying some place near the beach, but I hope someone carpool with you.

Hi people, I’m coming in solo from San Diego for the first weekend, and staying at an air b n b that’s some distance away. I’m hoping that have a second shuttle that is more central for the Irvine/LA folks and not down south like an Clemente.

Anyway, I’m a big pj fan been seeing them since ‘94 and have too much fomo to miss any SoCal shows. First time at Ohana and headed to encore too, w a friend.

Anyway I would too meet up with folks before or during the shows, especially those crunchy phish heads. I’m hoping to see some artist collabs!

enjoy the return to live music everyone. Southern ca shows seem to start up again this weekend.

Stay tuned for the Wishlist Foundation pre-party. It's a great place for orphans, singles, large groups and everyone in-between. Basically, it's a grassroots, fan-run, fully independent organization that does a lot of good things around the country in conjunction with Pearl Jam (and related) shows.

    https://www.facebook.com/wishlistfoundation/

This page is for the "Encore" show, but there's pages for the other nights:

    https://facebook.com/events/s/pearl-jam-ohana-encore-prepart/437246750597054/

So what I'm saying is this:

You're more than welcome to start your own meetup, but why not let others do the work? It just seems odd to have mutiple meetups (the exception being the sober fans and that's understandable.)

    Hi Lost in Ohio!

Definitely not trying to step on any toes starting this page. :) It's definitely less formal. As an introvert, I find it's easier to meet with smaller groups as sort of like a "base" than inject myself solo into a large group of people I don't know. I'm sure that many of us want to attend the Wishlist Foundation Pre-Party. I'm sure I speak for all when I say that I'm looking forward to more details! :)

Hi, I didn't think this thread was for people who wanted to start their own meetup to rival the Wishlist pre-party, rather to find fellow solo travelers to meet up the night before, after, attend the Wishlist pre-party and concert together, etc. I've gone solo to Wishlist pre-parties before and felt incredibly awkward going up to groups of strangers trying to small talk. With this thread, I can connect with people and show up with someone to talk to at the party!

To sum up: This was never intended to be an alternative to the Wishlist party at all. The opposite, in fact.

Anticipation and excitement builds...looking forward to these shows having not seen them since 2014. I'll check back on this to see where people are connecting and maybe add some Ohana tips.  I feel like an Ohana veteran having been to 3 out of the 4 years Eddie's done this.
