That’s one of my favorites, as is Glover’s initial scene. That one hit home big.
in 1991, when I saw Grand Canyon originally I loved it, but I would have loved it more and I probably would have related more, if I had seen it in for the 1st time in 2001 or 2011.

Living in LA, what happened was no surprise. Glover’s interaction with the assholes spoke for so many.

    Army of the Dead

Not too bad. Think Ocean's 11 meets The Living Dead. Characters were pretty stereotypical and the plot was for the most part predictable.

We watched some of that last night. I say “some”, because after an hour and a half, we thought, “Still another HOUR?” and abandoned it

It was a fun(ish) watch but not two and a half hours’ worth.

That is what stopped me from pressing play.  It looks like it could be entertaining but that seemed a bit long.

    Tom Clancy's Without Remorse

Not great but I like the badass Michael B Jordan and it wasn't as bad as I feared it might be.

On The Basis of Sex. it was ok. every time the guy playing her husband spoke I couldn't help but think they wanted John Hamm but he was too old for the part.

He's a creepy mofo.  Pretty much black listed now, won't be seeing him in lots of movies now.

  • Going through the Aliens franchise and took a turn to Predator because we'll eventually get to AVP and haven't seen in 25(?) years.  There's a reason I only remembered the last 40 minutes or so - really slow.
