    Yeah it totally changes the yard.  Wish we had not had to cut down more trees this spring - place used to have a bunch of big trees but on the bright side there will be far fewer leaves to pick from the pool this year.

    I was against getting a house with a pool but grew used to having...especially the hot tub.  Kid loves it, wife loves it, and my in-laws love it...but a silver lining of covid was that my in-laws were not at our house using the pool every weekend last summer.  This summer that will also apply, so I can look forward to having it to ourselves.  :)

    Can you use the hot tub in the winter, or does it have to operate in conjunction with the pool? My brother has a stand alone above ground jacuzzi on his deck, and they can use it all year - but it is not part of a full pool.

    Part of the pool, so no.
    We were going to redo our deck off the master bedroom years ago but she got pregnant and there went the idea of a pimp expansion of master bath, deck, adding another closet, a sauna, and a jacuzzi on the deck.
    That deck is garbage and only hosts some pots with some vegetables growing.  Nothing else.  

    At some point, although the kid costs attack extravagant project savings.
