I feel the odds of the two outdoor scheduled shows happening are 60/40 in favor.  I feel like the odds of them adding indoor shows this fall or winter are like 90/10 against.  But I hope I’m wrong on the second prediction.

By fall we will be pretty much 100% open especially outdoors. Yes, the arena shows, are iffy but if Broadway is open, Apollo should be a go as theaters are pretty much same size..

I’m sure NYC would allow it… I’m just doubting that the band is in that big of a hurry to play indoors to a capacity crowd.

Absolutely.  I was just commenting on what I thought Pearl Jam would likely do this fall.  Like I said earlier. I hope to be wrong so you get the show.  I personally am not ready to rub elbows yet at an indoor show but I won’t stand in anyone’s way to do so and I will root for the show to happen.

Yep. Doubtful the band is planning an Apollo for fall just because Broadway is reopening.

Also wasn’t the point of the Apollo to promote the new album before it was released (majority industry folks that would get a first listen)? Does that show even make sense to do 1-2 (3?) years later?

Didn't Ed tell Stern they planned on playing there? Also, Sea Hear Now is just down street so makes sense from logistics standpoint and maybe even as a "warm up" show

Yeah they should offer refunds - could be the new date/time doesn't work for you or you can't make the travel arrangements or you're just not ready to go to stuff yet. I'd be shocked if they didn't. Anyway if anyone wants to offload their Apollo tixx please PM me!!!

I don’t know how much people understand the band. Just because some Governor in some state says “max capacity” doesn’t mean the band is just gonna say it’s safe. I wouldn’t get your hopes up for shows in 2021, it’s almost June btw

I think people are just dying to see a show. But yeah a little too optimistic considering the bands track record and statements.

^ Agree with both points above.  1.  Pearl Jam isn't going to play shows based on a Governor's safety measures.  2.  Why don't they just come out and say "See you all in 2022."

Plenty of bands will play indoor shows in 2021, but not this one.

Well none of us really know the band so we are all just speculating. I doubt anything happens in 2022 but will not rain on anyone's parade. I don't see any real difference in the safety of Fall 2021 or Spring of 2022 though.

I’m basing my opinion on the bands history. I don’t think they’re playing this year at all, we’ll see what happens in the future. I think we’re all forgetting the rest of the world is on a Covid tear right now, unseen in 2020. Band is probably playing it safe

I hope you meant until 2022 and not in 2022 lol ugh.

For the people that think Pearl Jam knowingly today have no plans on playing any of the fests this fall are you ok with them not cancelling yet? I mean these are EV and Danny Clinch run festivals so what are they waiting for exactly?

Haha yep, those were the good ole days. Was caller #21 a couple times. Still hoping to hustle my way in somehow. I think I'd be ok with a theater of other (hopefully) vaccinated folks. An arena, maybe not yet

Isn't point of vaccine so we can get back to normal? To each is own..
Indeed it is. But "getting back to normal" requires a certain % of people to get the vaccine, and there sure is a giant % swearing against it. Plus variants plus other countries (India right now, and still Brazil) where it's still out of control and spurring more variants.

In other words, if we could get over the hump of enough vaccinated in the US that we're good, then that leads us to "normal".  But it simply is not normal yet, no matter who much some people want to act like it is, if there's still a solid chance of a crowded event turning into a spreader event. Because, remember, no vaccine is 100% effective at stopping transmission.

All that said, I'm super ready to get back to a show, outdoors for now for sure, but hopefully indoors by late fall.  I just want it to make scientific sense at the time, and as has been hashed out here 100 times, setting up the shows and selling tix in advance when it's not totally certain is a major obstacle.

I will say this, I just saw on Ed's official IG a "See you at Ohana" video, so.... I'd say there are at least 2 PJ shows happening in 2021 (SeeHearNow and Ohana), and why not the Apollo just to get the juices flowing and let at least 1 event happen? Seems totally possible.

^ agreed however it’s indoor so a different consideration.

    Roof of the Apollo?
