    I don’t know how much people understand the band. Just because some Governor in some state says “max capacity” doesn’t mean the band is just gonna say it’s safe. I wouldn’t get your hopes up for shows in 2021, it’s almost June btw
    I would think they are waiting to see how some of the other "openings" go - such as NBA playoffs, etc. and holding out for fall 2021 plans. Agree they aren't going to play full arenas just because politicians say it's ok to do so.
    Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; WF Center 10/21/13;
    WF Center 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; WF Center 4/28/16; WF Center 4/29/16;
    Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; SeaHearNow Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22

    Tres Mtns - TLA 3/23/11; EV - Tower Theatre 6/25/11; Temple of the Dog - Tower Theatre 11/5/16

    Most of the Sirius Apollo shows have been to promote a brand new album or new channel, no?

    I could see this being cancelled outright. 14 months after a new release is well past the time for hype.

    I hope not, but have been thinking of other scenarios aside from Gigaton release party. 30th anniversary of Ten, something like that maybe.

    Pearl Jam can still do the Apollo. And I think they said they still want to do it. Plus, it's the Apollo.

    I feel the odds of the two outdoor scheduled shows happening are 60/40 in favor.  I feel like the odds of them adding indoor shows this fall or winter are like 90/10 against.  But I hope I’m wrong on the second prediction.
    By fall we will be pretty much 100% open especially outdoors. Yes, the arena shows, are iffy but if Broadway is open, Apollo should be a go as theaters are pretty much same size..
    I’m sure NYC would allow it… I’m just doubting that the band is in that big of a hurry to play indoors to a capacity crowd.
    Yep. Doubtful the band is planning an Apollo for fall just because Broadway is reopening.

    Also wasn’t the point of the Apollo to promote the new album before it was released (majority industry folks that would get a first listen)? Does that show even make sense to do 1-2 (3?) years later?
    That's what I was thinking.... Apollo was to promote new album... not likely to happen.

    If that's the case why tour then? The tour will be to promote the album. Plus they still have a channel that they can still promote

    I'm obviously biased, but I really hope they still do this show. Plus, if I remember correctly they did a charity auction and a separate charity raffle for tickets (I'm sure they could come up with a replacement prize, but that's another piece I'm holding on to hope with)

    They would need to switch out the audience. Wasn’t it like 90% industry folks and like a handful of actual fans.

    Great news for those that won tickets. Vaccinations required tells me we are still aways away from the spring 2020 shows happening. I thought there was an outside chance this fall but not looking good.

    It's still a Siriusxm event. So there'll still be some people who work at Siriusxm, possibly some celebrities, family, and then fans who won tickets.

    No worries. And to really clarify...
    On today's Jim & Sam show (SiriusXM Faction Talk Ch.103), when asked what it would take for him to finally get vaxxed, show producer and PJ superfan Travis Tefft said McClure told him it's being rescheduled, but only for the vaccinated. "I was talking to our boss, McClure, and the subject of the cancelled Pearl Jam Apollo show came up, and... oh yeah, they're rescheduling that but only for vaccinated people, I said sign me up."

    Ok so I actually heard this too (while working so may have misheard) but it sounded to me like he was saying that's what it would take to get him vaccinated. They were ripping on Tefft for not getting vaccinated and he was implying that being vaccinated for that particular show would do it.

    Certainly possible. Not how I heard it, but Travdog can be a little too dry when he's trying hard to be funny. Seemed a bit too on the nose for him.
