Employees in BC are now eligible for 3 hours of paid time off to get vaccinated. A helpful support in my opinion, though people may also need paid time off to deal with side effects if they are hard hit, as some are.

I've read enough science and will seek out getting the vaccine now.0

He is now out of the hospital and thanks. I guess I should of clarified by fall out I meant with our inner circle. It is pretty divided as it is and something like that would definitely of swayed some on the fence family members and friends to not get the vaccine. We have a couple of people just waiting for something like that to happen to shove it in peoples faces and say I told you so. I do not think it would of made headlines but I know some would complain that it had not. It might seem like a small thing but I am so damn happy he did not get that shot yet.Merkin Baller said:

What if he did get that vaccine a week before though? Would he have made the headlines for having a stroke after getting the shot? Vaccinated such a large number of the population are we not going to have these scary headlines since this stuff just naturally happens to even healthy people and would of happened anyways shot or not?
I am really curious if her grandfather would of got that shot and had a stroke what the fall out would have been.
It's good your wife's grandfather didn't get the vaccine otherwise he would be your socialist grandmother.
hope he's doing ok, btw.0 -
Unfortunately there is a lot of this. Anti-vaxxers waiting for the "I told you so" moment with the supposed vaccine risks. Folks that don't want things to open up waiting for the "I told you so" moment after a ballgame or a concert they feel happened too fast. It has become quite a shit show.PJNB said:

The CDC says that it will do genomic sequencing on samples with an RT-PCR ct value less than 28, not that it won't count the cases.
It's amazing what you would learn if you read what you posted.
SARS-CoV-2 sequence data
• Some COVID-19 vaccine breakthrough cases will have SARS-CoV-2 sequencing performed at a clinical, public health, or commercial reference laboratory. • For cases with sequence data that are already available, please provide the SARS-CoV-2 lineage and GISAID or GenBank accession number to the state health department.
Respiratory specimen for SARS-CoV-2 sequencing • Specimen selection o Clinical specimens for sequencing should have an RT-PCR Ct value ≤28.

Are they implying that a specimen testing above this cycle cannot be reliably sequenced, therefore suggesting just "dead nucleotides'? Does that not undermine the entire narrative from the past year and really make it look like a "case"demic?oftenreading said:
