    The science has changed again...

The full link from the tweets from the cdc regarding breakthrough cases...

    https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/downloads/Information-for-laboratories-COVID-vaccine-breakthrough-case-investigation.pdf

And the standards that we have been using the past year...

    Wrong, again.

The CDC says that it will do genomic sequencing on samples with an RT-PCR ct value less than 28, not that it won't count the cases.

It's amazing what you would learn if you read what you posted.

    SARS-CoV-2 sequence data
     • Some COVID-19 vaccine breakthrough cases will have SARS-CoV-2 sequencing performed at a clinical, public health, or commercial reference laboratory. • For cases with sequence data that are already available, please provide the SARS-CoV-2 lineage and GISAID or GenBank accession number to the state health department.
Respiratory specimen for SARS-CoV-2 sequencing • Specimen selection o Clinical specimens for sequencing should have an RT-PCR Ct value ≤28.

Are they implying that a specimen testing above this cycle cannot be reliably sequenced, therefore suggesting just "dead nucleotides'?  Does that not undermine the entire narrative from the past year and really make it look like a "case"demic?

    Pffft.

This dude has no power over anyone.

He doesn’t want a vax? Fine. Wants to boast about it? Sure! Gets off on belittling others for (oh my GOD) having a reasonable, fact-based approach?  Again, A-OK. Wants to shower us with misinformation? I think most here see through that tripe.

His stupidi —his obstinance? His choice.

Mark Rasch hopped on his bike Tuesday in Bethesda, Maryland, pedaled off for an afternoon ride and realized he forgot his mask. As he turned back for it, news came on the radio over his earbuds: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said masks were no longer required outdoors for fully vaccinated people unless they were in a crowd.

Rasch, a lawyer, rode on, naked from nose to chin for the first time in a year. He reached nearby Georgetown and found he was nearly alone, in that almost everyone else there remained masked.

“I wondered if there was a store I could go into without wearing a mask to buy a mask?” he said. Instead, he went home and told his wife, “Nothing is changing, but it’s happening quickly.”

Oh look, new deflection after bullshit debunked!  You have no shame or are incapable of embarrassment.  It's very impressive.

Whenever one point is proven wrong, it's just on to the next! A fun game for some I'm sure.

I only reply now when I think that the other folks here might be interested in accurate info. I am under no illusions that it will influence the wave of bs at all.
Yes and that's the whole reason I do too.  There are many, many people who read these posts and lurk and never say anything.  So letting the bullshit go unchecked is not necessarily the right decision.

Things are finally really ramping up with vaccine delivery in Canada. We are scheduled to get more vaccine doses in the next 5 weeks than we've had in the first 5 months of vaccine availability. In my own province of BC the current estimate is that all eligible (and willing) adults will have their first dose and many their second dose by mid-June. The end is actually in sight.

Yes, it is. And once we’ve got everyone vaccinated who wants to be we must start donating our excess doses to counties who need them. I don’t want to see us stockpiling.

True. I rescind only that relevant portion of my prior post.

    The science has changed again...

The full link from the tweets from the cdc regarding breakthrough cases...

Any response to this?  I see none.  Seems like the pandemic would look a whole lot different if we were counting cases like this the whole time, no?
