You will have a hard time finding anyone here who would defend that nonsense. The point is there are many who think the only way is either red or blue and I see no difference in that way of thinking.mrussel1 said:

I would argue that many followers of both parties have this mindset. If they didn’t we wouldn’t be surrounded by the constant red vs blue bickering.mrussel1 said:

1. Who said anything about red or blue?
2. You claimed your mindset is informed by the fact that you live in Texas, which is pretty ironic considering your statement that you don't define by red or blue, but you do based on state of residence? Odd.
3. I said your executive branch is a bunch of Trump lackeys, going so far as filling a law suit completely without standing or merit, to further Trump's Big Lie.
But yeah, Texans don't treat a politician as a Savior. Hilarious.Let me make this easier.Halifax must have it out for me because of these reasons.1. I live in Texas (it is well known that he is not a fan of the state)2. I am not of the mindset that politicians are the answer to all of our problems

How does any of this have anything to do with me personally? Again, I do not define someone based on the color of their state on an election map.Halifax2TheMax said:
Tejas? The state that gave us GW and the Iraq War? Followed by Rick Perry and Abbott and Costello? The state that made it illegal to disclose the location of a fertilizer warehouse after one blew up and killed people in an apartment complex? That Tejas? Or the one that gave ‘Murica it’s first mass shooting, rails against a federal government but won’t build its own damn wall or control its border? Or the Tejas that refuses to allow certain aspects of ‘Murican history be in the nations history text books or birth control methods be mentioned in health text books? That Tejas? Or the Tejas where the good senior senator bestowed a law enforcement officer of the year award on an undercover cop who fabricated evidence and lied under oath sending 20% of one small Tejas’ town black population to prison for drug crimes they didn’t commit? That Tejas? Or the one where a couple of good ol boys decided to drag James Byrd behind their truck until he was decapitated by a culvert on the side of the road? Or the Tejas that gave us Waco and coined the term “jack booted thugs” as it relates to the ATF because some whacko decides he’s Jesus, wants to molest children and stockpile guns but instead of showing up in court to answer the charges, has a shootout and kills himself and everyone with him. That Tejas?FiveBelow said:mrussel1 said:

Yea, fuck Tejas.
Edited to include passing laws to make it harder to vote, particularly in the state’s major urban areas and disenfranchising black, Hispanic and poor voters.0 -

I'm starting to see yet another split in the population. We have a large portion that don't care about Covid and won't do anything. We have another portion that take it seriously...but are unwilling to venture away from the most restrictive guidance...even after it has been changed. And then you have a small group that followed science into the pandemic and are willing to follow it out of the pandemic. Too bad it really appears that last group is a minority group.hippiemom = goodness0

I think you are right but under estimate the people following the science out of the pandemic too. I think they will be the majority of the believers but the less vocal.cincybearcat said:I'm starting to see yet another split in the population. If by edgy you mean the type of mean spirited and antagonistic garbage that you see overwhelmingly on the internet, then yes...I agree. The love he receives is the love that is saved0
