The guitar color was darker in person. I love it though. Sounds great.0

I haven’t looking haven’t looked in here for a while. Big mistake. Some beautiful guitars in here, and now I’m feeling like I want a new guitar. Unfortunately there isn’t likely to be money for anything like that until next year...BTW. Anyone in here own a Rivolta?

Any acoustic pickup recommendations? Prices are all over the place, and it's difficult to ascertain what's good out there.
I have a one of fifteen (7 of 15) special edition Martin made from The Tree that I really don't want to drill any holes into. Would I be better off just positioning a mic around the soundhole?I SAW PEARL JAM0 -

I'd look at Sunrise. Elderly Instruments handles them. (No affiliation.)
It is my understanding that they're as good as it gets.If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -

This is by no means an expensive or desirable guitar, but it was a fun project and ended up sounding cool and playing great.
It is an ESP Ltd Hybrid-300 from 2002. This is the second one of these I have bought in rough shape and fixed up to suit my purpose.
Replaced the pickups and wiring, bridge saddles, custom pick guard from WD Music, Grover locking tuners and Dunlop Strap Locks. Polished frets, cleaned and set up, then strung with Elixirs.
The pickups are Seymour Duncans. Quarter Pound Tele in the neck and a P-Rails Trembucker in the bridge. The P-Rails is wired to a push/pull volume control and it splits to the P90 when pulled and it's a humbucker when pushed. If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0 -

The Troy Van Leeuwen jazzmaster won't ship for a month or two so I went ahead and ordered one of these too and it will be here this week. I know a lot of people either don't like or don't really get the purpose of the acoustasonic series but I think they're build quality is really good and that they're versatility makes them a really great tool for both live and studio applications.Virginia Beach 2000

I doubt I would pull the trigger on one but those are really cool
and sound great. The TVL is the best deal in Jazzmasters going. Used to have the Oxblood version and it was badass but ran into a deal too good to pass up on my 335.0 -
I've been after an acoustasonic ever since I saw Jack White play one on the Raconteurs' last tour.
I just knew he had this little pastel acoustic looking thing that made a hell of a racket. I thought it was some JWIII invention. Gave it a Google after the show and was surprised to see it was something I could buy at Sweetwater.
Still saving toward one.Post edited by dankind onI SAW PEARL JAM0 -
Yeah, that’s where he’s seen and heard it mostly too. I’d like to have his whole stable from that tour. The whacked Tele with the switches and benders is wild and the bronzed Gibsons are all just so epically cool.Post edited by DewieCox on0
