    • That doesn't make sense. I'm sure our health practitioners are smarter than that and that most clients are already registered opiod users for methadone, anyhow. Not too many potheads-only live on the streets in the DTES.

    Also, I might add, the street opioids are more poisonous than ever after our borders closed and cause more deaths than legal, prescribed alternatives.

    Anyhow back to covid: hedonist, that was a sad thought thinking about being a minority!

    “Somebody’s got to be the first to say it,” said Aaron Foley, 36, a writer in New York. He grew up in Detroit, where he says the rollout is going well, and every time he opens Facebook, he sees another vaccine selfie from family and friends still there. “There’s starting to be a lot of people in my orbit, one by one, who are getting their first dose,” Foley said. “I think the envy might come from everybody takes the picture of them either getting the shot or posting the little vaccine card” on social media sites. “It’s getting to be more and more of an endurance race. The frustrating part is we’re so close, yet so far away.”


    Michele Parisi, 52, who works in health-care communications in the San Francisco Bay area, likens the wait to standing in line for concert tickets. “And you’re like, okay, it’s a two-hour line, but I’m happy to wait, as long as it’s orderly and we’re going in turn. But when I see people jumping the line, I start getting really anxious and upset. And that’s how I’m starting to feel about vaccines.”

    It is possible that half doses of the Moderna vaccine provide similar protection to full doses, which, if proven, could significantly increase the availability of the vaccine. More research needed.

    Organizations may want to spread out vaccination days for their staff, if possible. Overall it's a net gain to have everyone vaccinated, for so many reasons, but having a bunch of people off for a day due to expected side effects is bound to be a nuisance.

    Been saying this for a while. Imagine if Trump wrote a book patting himself on the back mid-way through a pandemic? This guy somehow flies under the radar every time.

    Thing is, no politician should be able to fly under the radar simply because some other blowhard is flying higher.

    Maybe - ? - people will learn that others liking or not liking Trump (or it being perceived as such) was a lousy barometer for character, responsibility, or those other qualities worthy of a good leader.

    One hugeass smelly elephant in the room doesn’t automatically make the littler, less stinky elephants any less dangerous.
