the CERB program in canada gives $500 per week for 28 weeks. that's $2K per month for 7 months. $1400 gives people the money to pay their hydro bill for a home they've already lost. it's absurd.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -
Yep. This current president is proving the tool that he is. On many fronts.
For many who make a good income, did not get anything. And that is perfect. But funny for the people that made just under the cut. Dont remember the cutoff, but what the fuck is $100 going to do with a couple making $250k/year? The $ is not directed were people that need it the most. And even then, the stimulus helps for a month or two? This crisis has lasted and will last longer than this.

I understand the idea of just getting money into the hands of americans, but the criticism is valid. politicians making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year bickering over $1400 for months while people lose their lives and homes is utter insanity.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -
Morning Joe taking Biden to task today for not following science and the health leaders advice and instead bowing to the mighty teachers union in not re-opening schools. It was a good listen. Helps that I agree with him I guess.hippiemom = goodness0

I have to admit that having no kids I have the absolute luxury to have no opinion on schools. It seems very counterintuitive that opening schools would be safe but I feel like I keep seeing headlines (again, I have the luxury to not click them) that say it's pretty safe.
Ugh, though. I feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel and some people (State of Wisconsin for example) are just ownin' the libs...1995 Milwaukee 1998 Alpine, Alpine 2003 Albany, Boston, Boston, Boston 2004 Boston, Boston 2006 Hartford, St. Paul (Petty), St. Paul (Petty) 2011 Alpine, Alpine
