    Garth! Singing Amazing Grace...
    It's a hopeless situation...
  • Biden seemed to get sharper over the past year and a half. Early in the primaries, he really seemed like he was on Planet Melmac. Like he was too old for all this. But now I think that was just rust from sitting on the sidelines for a few years because it was Hillary’s turn to be president. Once he got back in the swing of things, he was just like he was as vice-president under Obama.

    POtuS out. POTUS in.

Now, it's time for Biden to resign so they can do what they planned all along: shove a woman of color down the throats of the non-racist, non-sexist MAGA. Bwaahhhaaahahahahahah!

The debates were what convinced me... Neither he nor Trump came across as senile during those.

Yeah same here. Going into the first debate, I thought it could’ve been an issue; Biden stumbling when trying to make his points while Trump, though full of shit, coming off in control. But it wasn’t an issue at all.

    A few excerpts:

"Even as we hurt we hoped."
"This is the era of just redemption."
"How could catastrophe possibly prevail over us?"
"We will raise this wounded world into a wondrous one."
"There is always light if we are only brave enough to see it, if we are only brave enough to be it."

I didn't even want to watch the debates for fear of that. Does he seem old? Yeah. Way, way, past his prime. But I'm not too worried about senility. Energy? Maybe.

It is for this reason that I wasn't pumped about the nomination. But after he was nominated I thought he and his team did a great job of showing him as human, compassionate, and empathetic (which I assume was a particular emphasis in order to counter a loathsome narcissist). I can certainly nitpick things he's said and positions he's taken but he's coming in with pretty much the right mentality.  I just wish a third of the country wasn't so far gone.

President Biden's empathy is real and he doesn't need his team to illustrate it. It comes from his heart and from what he's been through as a person, husband and father. Polar opposite of the previous occupant of the White House (POOTWH?).

What a great day!  I knew I would be glad when this time had come.  What I wasn't prepared for was the emotional response.  My wife and I we're both shedding tears of joy and relief a number of time throughout the inauguration.  And Biden's speech was magnificent.  A great day indeed!

My wife said it was a great speech. I missed it because of work.  I’ve actually met Joe several times so it’s the first time i can say I've met a President lol.   George H Bush had a great simple quote for the guy who took his job in 93....  “Your success is our success..”.

I hope Joe is an awesome president.

whatever happens with his policies and during his administration it won't change that he is a good man at heart.  he may not have been my original choice for the Dems but looking at what has occurred in the past few months especially, a man of his integrity, empathy and kindness is what this nation needs at this time.  Go Joe!

unfortunately kindness and empathy don't get amplified like hate and division. I hope that changes with this admin.
