    Wow. This story went from dumb to really interesting, lol. I don't know if he's actually dead - I know people have been wondering that from the beginning, and now it almost seems like they might have a good reason to ask.
    It was a sudden cause of death as well, I believe...

    Well, he would not be the 1st to fake his own death.


    He could also have been blackmailed or "robbed" and murdered or something really crazy like that. Perhaps someone out there is a very very rich scammer/murderer right now.
    I did a little google search, he died in India from complications od Chron's disease.  The hospital produced a death certificate, I'm sure death certificates can be faked, and I'm not so sure I can totally trust this hospital.  

    The money was emptied out of the crypto wallets 8 months ago...

    Strange case.  The RCMP have their work cut out for them...
    He could have been poisoned or something, and the death certificate could be real. If he suffered from Crohn's, then someone could have conceivably figured out how to make his death look related to the disease, assuming the Indian docs didn't go above and beyond in an autopsy (if then). Who knows??? It's for sure really shady looking all around. It seemed weird from the very beginning - it was too shocking to think that someone in his position would be stupid enough to allow all that money to get trapped just because of an encrypted laptop.
    At this point, anything is possible.  You would think his top executives at the company would have access, that's why I'm suspicious.
    For sure. At first, I said something like, "I can't fucking believe how STUPID this guy must have been, somehow, despite the fact that he is a 30 year old controlling a company...." :confused: It just seemed really "off"... but at least conceivable I guess. But now with this new info, no, there has to be more to it.... Or maybe his girlfriend is super involved in all this. Yeah you're right, just about anything is possible!
    The girlfriend is an interesting angle as well.  I am sure the RCMP knows far more than they are saying.  I would not be surprised that the RCMP will want to exhume the gravesite if there is one.

    Does this seem like a good fifth estate episode?  I think it would be.

    What strikes me as very bizarre is the connection to paranoia and prepper-types...in the sort of real emergency that paranoid bitcoiners fear, electronic currency will have less value even than their precious gold, neither of which will buy them much food to eat.
    It's like a form of insanity.

    4 years ago when it dropped I wanted to get in but still think the idea was "dumb".  It is fiat money.

    Like Gambs said, this won't be worth anything come end of days type things.

    I actually forgot I had any, and checked recently and it’s aged really well.  Point of story is get some btc and forget about it, it’s easier that way.

    No FTX....I had some Bitcoin, ETH and this shit Stella Lumens that I put $100 in

    I made $2K then reinvested some more. Ended up losing $4,400 this year so overall net loss of $2400 for me.

    I bailed when BC hit 23,000 so it did get a bit worse.

    I asked someone when it was at 50K why don't you cash out?  Their reply was "leverage".  I thought that was a dumb response as I told him there is no leverage at zero but cash value right now.  I wonder what he did...

    I mentioned I had a chance to buy at $50 a coin years ago.  I would have most likely cashed out at 5k, lol!

    Well if Musk was smart he would have dumped his when he had a chance.  I think he really believed in it.

    During the pandemic we had a bunch of Pump n Dump people influence the sports card industry.  I made it a point to sell whatever they were pumping.
