Wow, I really dismissed Echos, Silence big time. I always thought The Pretender was the only great tune off that record. Glad I'm going back through these albums!
One By One is a great album despite the fact that I think Dave says he hates it. I really like all their albums except Sonic Highways. That album is just a mess of random stuff. I wonder how the band feels about it now. I saw them on their last tour and that was the only album that they didn't play a song from.

I’d give Sonic another listen. I did tonight during my run and I have to say I heard more cohesion there than before. Plus the guest musicians on each track? Golden.

I give it a listen every once in a while. The first two tracks are the best and the rest is listenable but just not in the way that other Foos stuff is.

No doubt. Also, they dropped the St. Cecilia EP less than a year after that record, which was back to form.
Anybody buy anything from their site recently? I know theres Covid and all but their communication is non existent, takes 2 weeks to get a reply that just says here are a few answers to faq none of which address anything relevant. I ordered 2 shirts in Sept and neither have even shipped.

Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall after a very restful summer exploring the Great Canadian Wilderness and beaches, listening to Pearl Jam, Headstones, Watchmen, Queens of the Stone Age, and many others.

seems like Dave is channeling his inner James Hetfield with how he "no son of MIIIIIIIIINE" in the chorus. but i dig it.

I like the new song. Digging all three singles they released. "No Son of Mine" is probably my favorite of three.
