    Those are great. Kids are so funny. When I was a kid, Santa landed on the 5 and dime department store roof on Main Street and descended the fire department’s ladder truck, walked across the street to the First National Bank and sat in a huge chair outdoors, with two high school kids dressed up like elves. One weekend two weeks before Christmas. Stood in line for what seemed like hours, freezing. Only to get up there and scream bloody murder and squirm away. More pictures of total fear and a scream rather than smiles. Still traumatized. PTSD’ed. A Christmas Story captures it pretty well.

    I wish I had a Santa photo story. 

    Growing up Jewish, we didn’t do the Santa thing but once - visit, no pic. My luck, the dude was sketchy.

    It must be a benefit of a small town, but we have 2 regular Santas here.

    I had my kid signed up in 2 towns for a picture as the malls didn't go ahead with visits. One city had to shut down as it was considered an event when gatherings outside our houses were banned. The actors studio hired the regular Santas and made a legal business out of it this year. Not too many kids here got an appointment slot though.

    Christmas morning use to take days when my daughter was young. She opened a present wanted to play with it immediately and spend like an hour or so with it. No joke, we didn’t finish Christmas till like Dec 28th. Cause after a  few presents it was nap time!

    Now it’s much faster but still magical.
