Well, impeachment took 3 years. How long will it take for all his nefarious activities to catch up with him, leading up to his indictment?

Place your bets. Post your thoughts. Post newsworthy articles. Donald Trump's life took quite a drastic turn on Saturday November the 7th. Will be interesting to see how this unfolds....

Like many of us, I would like to see swift justice.  But the wheels of this creaky machine grind slowly so I'm going with a generous 2023

Say, what is the prize if we guess correctly?  I'm in the market for a nice Telecaster (hint, hint).

Is “The Field” never? Never is my vote. Sure seems like he deserves to finish his life in prison. Doubt it will happen. His victims deserve it. Every American that’s had to listen to him and is either with him or against him deserves it. I’d be content if he just went the fuck away but that’s really sticking it to his victims.

I picked "The Field" because I don't think he ever will be. Not that he wouldn't be, I just don't think he will be around long enough for it to happen. 2021, 2024, 2030 or otherwise.

Yeah I don’t think he will face any punishment.  Especially if he gets some faithless electors to swing for him.

history shows that the worst people never face any kind of justice. so i do not have a choice to pick from.

biden is a nice guy. i can see him pardoning trump in the interest of uniting the country. sounds like something he would do, even though he should never even get involved.

biden will pardon him, trump will run again in 2024 and defeat biden. that is how things work out for the dems. they never ever learn.

Now wouldn't that scenario be ironic. Trump will delay and delay so it will take up four years for any justice to occur. Biden would have to have a big and generous heart to pardon Trump but I could possibly see him doing such a thing. If I were Biden I'd turn away from it all, you reap what you sow.

  • A great detail in the artwork of the article:  Donald loses his spray tan once in prison-- check out his left hand :)

Unfortunately, he's never going to jail.  Say what you want about this man, but he is THE master of self-preservation, and is even more of a "Teflon Don" than Gotti ever was.  There is a chance he could run in 2024 again and beat Joe as Gimme has said.  A friend of mine was saying last night that in the event of Trump finally conceding, it will mean that he will likely be a "King-maker" in 2024.  With 70 million votes, he definitely has a strong following, strong enough to start his own TV Network with Trump TV, which will actually be a hit, and another conservatively-biased news source to compete with FOX News.  It's very likely that the economic repercussions of this pandemic have yet to truly hit us, so Joe (or Kamala) are going to get blamed for a depression over these next 4 years.  This gives Donald the ability to either use his network as his own platform for re-election or as I stated earlier, become a King-maker and pushing for a younger and more well-spoken version of himself to take the White House back for the GOP in 4 years.

He could also end up being a talking head on FOX also, but I think he feels too slighted by them at the moment and is definitely the type to hold a grudge.  He'll also start his own PAC to back candidates of his choosing / himself.

As far as his claim that the Democrats "stole" this election-- if this were actually true, Trump has all of the major US intelligence agencies to find wrong-doing in emails and phone calls over the last 4 years.  He's either sitting atop a mountain of evidence to back his claim, or none at all.  To me, it makes total sense that the mail-in ballots were heavily Blue.  Ever since this virus became politicized, I have noticed in my own circle that my left-leaning friends have been more cautious during this pandemic, and were less likely to physically show up at the polls on election day for their own health and safety.  With several months and many opportunities to simply mail in their votes, they took full advantage of that this time around.  Don won the in-person vote, but Joe won it overall.

I don't know which choice in this poll allows me to vote that he's NOT going to jail or be indicted, but that option has my vote.  In my opinion, the greatest divider in America is actually that of classism.  There's a class of people who can break the law and never see true justice, and then there's the rest of us.

biden has said that he will not stand in the way of trump being prosecuted, but you know how it will turn out.

moderate seeming republicans will petition biden that if biden pardons trump biden will gain the moderates support for future legislation. biden will pardon trump and then these moderate republicans will do the electoral stab in the back to biden. i see it coming from 10 miles away.

I hope not. Everything about Trump needs to come out and history needs to show that you can't get away with being a kleptocrat and a traitor. Biden's best move is to stay out of it. Leave it to those who's job it is to deal with it. He shouldn't cheer-lead it because it would almost look like Trump's assertions that all opponents should be locked up.

NY has been itching to go after him, and have been preparing for years. They are only waiting for him to be out from under the protections of the office of President. I was overly optimistic on the impeachment poll, but I'm doubling down on optimism with this one. He'll be indicted for something in 2021.

NY State will bring him up on charges at some point. I say 2023 here.   As for 2024 I say no way he runs again. First off he will pretty old and in bad physical shape by then.   Also it will be far too profitable for him now to run again. Between speaking engagements and whatever tv and book deals he makes he stands to make a lot more money out of office than his family raked in by him being in office.

That's what I think as well...I don't think the GOP will keep him once it's all over.

As a CPA, I would love to have a look at his tax returns.

My guess is that he deducted business losses, even though they may have been "passive" in nature....thus, making them non-deductible in the current year.

If he doesn't receive some BS blanket immunity I think he will be charged sooner than later. Vance has been balls deep in their investigation for 2 years now.

Remember, folks, being indicted doesn't mean he's going to jail. So for those who think nothing will happen to him, that could still be the case after it goes to trial...

Me thinks Team Trump Treason Tax Cheat is indicted in 2021 for tax evasion and bank fraud, maybe money laundering, by NY. That said, he never sees the inside of a courtroom. His defense will file motion after motion to delay any kind of trial, while raising money for his Team Trump Treason Tax Cheat media empire (suckers are born every minute). The litigation will last years and he won't live long enough to see the outcome. The media empire helps elect a repub governor who calls the dogs off. There are sealed indictments waiting to be unsealed. And CYA Barr can't fuck with them. But as someone said, there are those who are never held to account and then there's the rest of us.

    he doesnt say AGUS though......
i know it will be AGNY. i still think the blowback would be too risky to pursue.
I read something about the political blowback of dems in congress still trying to get his tax returns and stuff. That I can understand. What the state of New York does feels different to me since they already have a history of shuttering his charity and fraudulent university (amazing that the president has two of those things and it's so far down on the list of his atrocities).

i don't have a hot clue. i also don't know that it will actually happen. i have serious doubts that any AG would indict a former president. the blowback, especially against this one, would be insane.

i didn't want to say this, but i'll be more specific.....I'd fear for the safety of the AG if they went after him.
