Yeah I saw that.... he doesnt seem to be doing the regular kinda gigs......like hes heading to Canberra...

I dont think I wanna see him anyway....they are trying to get him to do Aurora Stadium thats up North...2 and half hrs drive from here would be better getting on a plane and heading to Melb in like an hour.

I'd rather go and see JT ;)

I just couldn't stand being surrounded by Linkin Park fans
Anyway, Chris's voice is nothing like it used to be. It's so much weaker than it was in the good ol days :)
It also tells you how high Chris Cornell is regarded in the music business nowadays, when he has to tag along on a Linkin Park tour

Now see....I like Linkin Park and from what I've seen, they're pretty good live, too. BUT...I have to agree.....I wouldn't like being amongst their "Typical" fans....I would have to go buy a pair of boxer shorts and a pair of jeans 4 sizes too big ;) LOL!
The point about Chris was pretty much what made up my mind to not get the tix.....I'm sure I'd be disappointed......I'm a Soundgarden gal, myself....and some Audioslave and that's not what this tour's going to be:(

I don't think they came to WA? I doubt I would have gone anyway? Like I said...I'm a Soundgarden fan. I like some Audioslave, but to be honest, I haven't really had the chance to listen to a lot of their stuff.....any recommendations??

Soundgarden were amazing!! I still kick myself today that I didn't see them when they played in Newie in 97 :(
As a big RATM fan I had high hopes for Audioslave, and was impressed by their 1st album, but their 2nd and 3rd album were ordinary and crap respectively.
I didn't see them when they toured over here cos I'm not a big fan of seeing bands live when they only have a limited number of songs to choose from. It sorta depreciates from the show IMO because you know exactly what songs are going to be played before you enter the venue.
The only exception I made was for a certain Mr Fanning, and that risk paid off cos he's a true genius :)

I like the 3 albums but 1st and 2nd were probably better. From memory the 3rd one came pretty quick after the 2nd one. A friend saw them in Melb in 2003 and reckoned they were really great live.........
I was sure they wouldve toured again here after the 3rd album but guess they probably already knew they were breaking up not long after its release so they never bothered touring....
I know I wouldve enjoyed seeing them live........
One of my daughters friends gave her a cd for me its Chris doing a show where he does Soundgarden and Audio songs.....He voice does sound a bit rough......I liked it tho.......
Perhaps Soundgarden may get back together like RATM.......one can dream...:)
