I thought the first volume was a steal at $20.20 and this one has even more tracks! The list of artists that have contributed songs to both volumes is amazing.

i actually like CDM. and if the other is Ole, I like that one too. (mostly for the driving music, not the lyrics)

I'm curious if this is an outtake from the Gigaton sessions, or if they have been working on tunes in lockdown.

    Hot take:

It's from the "Phantom Album" that "Can't Deny Me" was supposed to be on.

Good question. Glad to see Josh Evans is involved.

Words and music are by Matt so I'm anticipating something w/ odd timing and oblique momentum. Whenever I think of a Matt song, in general, In The Moonlight comes to mind....which is a good thing :sunglasses:

although it's never a good idea to dissect wording from the band, but "new" to me is different than "unreleased", which is what i would think would be the chosen term for a song that was from previous sessions.

    Super psyched about this!

New PJ, new Jeff, and new Stone!

(And my other favorite band the Drive-By Truckers announced a surprise new album, just 8 months after the last!)

    Great music day!

Is this only for download, or is there vinyl as well.

    this is a great point.

I do feel like they would note if it were an outtake, but also, they are trying to promote the project so maybe they would hold back on the verbiage in order to generate the most attention (maybe people would be less motivated to buy a track not deemed releasable?)

Maybe it doesn't matter. they only finished Gigaton last fall, and then this stuff happened. So its probably a fine line between where the sessions ended and new stuff begins seeing as they haven't done anything else in between other than rehearse.
