played mine again. Sounds perfect. I bought mine from them a few weeks ago.exploderball said:I just bought this version from the link posted above. I might have received a dud. The entire album plays waaay slow. All the music is off-pitch and Eddie Vedder sounds like he's on valium. I just wanted a "cheap" copy to spin, but mine is unplayable. I just contacted customer service, so we'll see what they say...0 -

I tested some other records, and something is wrong with my turntable. Might be the motor, but all my LPs are playing slow for some reason. Doh! My PJ20 gray vinyl is probably perfectly fine.cp3iverson said:

Def check the belt. It’s basically a rubber band that may have stretched out causing the turntable to spin at the wrong speed.exploderball said:

Honestly, I've been using a crappy 6-in-1 that my brother got me a few years back. I'm done with it. Gonna upgrade to an Audio-Technica AT-LP120 at the recommendation of my local record store.0

If you can swing an additional 100-250 bucks, you'd be much better off with a U-turn, Pro-ject debut carbon, or Rega Planar 1. These are much better entry TT's, IMO, with substantially better carts out of the box. I started with a LP120 and the difference between that and a Debut were night and day.exploderball said:Honestly, I've been using a crappy 6-in-1 that my brother got me a few years back. Thanks, I appreciate the recommendations. I'll check those out too. I probably need to decide how far down the vinyl rabbit hole I really want to go. I feel like I'm peeking over the edge right now. Haha.mrussel1 said:

Yeah that's exactly it. Although if you're not hearing a big upgrade in sound quality, no reason to even enter.exploderball said:

I purchased the gray vinyl a few weeks ago and agree it sounds great. You don't get any of the nice extras that appear in the official version but the music itself sounds good. I see there is now a Benaroya Hall unofficial vinyl floating out there as well that is looking pretty good at this point as it seems we will never get a reissue.Post edited by epie on1996 - Columbia, MD & Augusta, ME

I just don't get supporting bootleg companies, I am actually surprised the 10C allows any of this. But I guess a ton of people buy fake merchandise all the time. I'm actually surprised you don't see a bunch of these $$$ posters being reproduced, for like $50 each. A company could make a ton repopping the 1998 posters.Post edited by MedozK on0

I think people just want to say they have it. I'm sure it doesn't sound any better than the cd.MedozK said:I just don't get supporting bootleg companies, I am actually surprised the 10C allows any of this. Having owned both the original CD & LP Benaroya set, the LP set sounds amazing. Much warmer sounding than the CD. That’s not some nerdy scientific observation either. Just what my ears noticed.kramer73 said:

I don't think any disputes that the official vinyl release is great. I think he was talking about the garbage bootlegs.2-feign-reluctance said:
