Maybe the Pats are the smartest team in the NFL after all.
the same people who think they are tanking to get a QB next year are the same people who thought they were playing 3D chess by signing Cam Newton.  can't be both now can it?

Unless the plan is to resurrect Cam, win the Super Bowl, franchise tag him and trade him to Jacksonville for the #1 pick and take Lawrence....boom 6D Chess!
except there is about  5% chance there is actually a season that lasts until the Super Bowl this year

I read that they voted on that list in December. Mahomes was working his way back from injury at that point. If the vote was done after the season, of course he'd be number one. He led THREE double-digit comebacks in the playoffs.

    2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. I can't blame the players if they voted Jackson.  He had a historic season, really nothing we had seen in the NFL.  Honestly, I don't take any offense to this list, but it's fun to see a lot of others reacting to it.

I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

And it seems like in recent years, September games have been pretty sloppy. Probably due to less practices and the starters not playing all that much in preseason. So it might be a shit-show this September. Take the under?

It will be a mess out there.

I think the quality of play has decreased significantly since the last CBA when they cracked down on how much hitting they can do in training camp and how many times they can practice in the off season. Then more and more teams started resting starters for basically all of the pre season. Players need that repetition to get back into the swing of things. To basically have none of that this year, not even scrimmaging other teams? Look out. This season will be ugly as fuck.

You’re in the ballpark. It’s definitely that sort of “#2”

That was bull shit.  Only one player kneeled and still the public wants to give the players shit for trying to use their platform.  I’m so tired of the “shut up and play” mentality.

They also did the tomahawk chop...

I’m not even much of a football fan these days but am enjoying this. Didn’t even think about it until this morning but enjoying this game. Feels normal.
