Let’s welcome The Seattle Kraken to the NHL
You see the other horrible names that were on the slate?

Been waiting 40 years for a team here. We finally have a name. I didn't care what it was at some point, just wanted the team and the name. so we're the Kraken. That makes us Krakheads. And I suppose our arena will be known as the Krakhouse. But I'm all in!

When I first saw the news on my phone I thought it said "Seattle has a Hockey team, welcome the Karens"...

I thought, shit that's bold, even for Seattle!

i don't mind the name but not a fan of the color scheme.  multiple shades of blue...ugly.  And every team seems to have dark blue/black anymore.  how many times will we hear 'release the kracken?'

"When you purchase Kraken merchandise, you invest in our community. The Seattle Kraken will donate 100% of net proceeds through August 21 to local nonprofits YouthCare, Community Passageways, and the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, to help end youth homelessness and create positive pathways and opportunities for BIPOC youth in our region."  That's pretty cool of them, especially being that their stuff looks pretty expensive right now.

I like the name, logo and jerseys. Can’t wait to see a game in Seattle. My team now has a geographical rival... can’t wait for a Nucks/Kraken playoff series.

the the best part of watching the games so far is not having to listen to jackasses banging on the glass every two seconds.

Playoff games have been good so far. Wasn’t sure how it would be and feel but di fat so good

I've watched just about every game, they've been mostly exciting.  I bet they only get better.

Love the name/logo/colors. Will hate them when they are gifted a ready made contender at the expansion draft.

Weird situation but they have Halak who has a ton of Stanley Cup experience. They will be just fine.

With Tuukka's mental state being what it was based on his post game comments after game 2, Bruins will have a better shot this year with Halak.

Hawerchuck died.  He was a favorite to watch in the 80s and 90s.
Sucks he wasn't able to win a cup when he finally made it there at the end with the Flyers.
