1500 euros are the flights...150 in trains. 150 two hotels in Greece hopefully will get money back at those. And then the concert tix but will use them next time.

    Money lost?  None

Money temporarily tied up in the form of credits?  A lot, but I have no doubts I’ll be able to redeem them before they expire

    I never book refundable.

Well, I guess I am the only loser in Pearljamville then.
Me either.  I lucked out that our super fancy Super 8 only had 1 option which was refundable.   My airline ticket wasn't, but Alaska Air offered to refund it because of Covid19 so I got lucky.

In hindsight, I realized we lost $11 on the ferry reservation we booked to get from Victoria to Port Angeles.  That's not to shabby.

We are in the same boat. Unfortunately I have doubts I can use them all 😂. Have credits with 5 different airlines (Westjet, Air Canada, Southwest, Vueling, Wizz)
Also have a credit for a nonrefundable hotel near Hyde Park. Have a year to use it. No guarantees we will go next year... all depends.

Cant say ive saved money either because all of the would-be poster money went to vinyl.

Like PJNB I won’t really know my answer until the new dates come out and it becomes clear which of my credits will be useful and which won’t.  But the real loss is the year of concerts. Money can always be remade (not always easily of course) but the year never comes back.

Nothing for me. You could kind of see this pandemic coming, so I only booked a refundable hotel room in St. Louis. And I was playing the wait and see game regarding a flight and hotel to LA for those 2 shows. Never ended up booking those.
  • tschavtschav Posts: 2,759
Made the mistake of switching a refundable to non-refundable for MSG, and two months after the booking company confirmed a refund they backtracked and said it was a mistake.

Right now it's not "lost" money but tons in flight credits, points and credits for hotels, and any tickets tied up from the tour. Otherwise, though, staying optimistic but not sure if a Times Square hotel credit is worth much by the time it expires.

In the states I’ve lost about $400

For my month long adventure to Europe I’ve lost about $2500.
Have received $1000 in credits, and another $1000 that was refunded. Not including the PJ and EuroCup tickets still sitting out there.

For US - only a $300 airline credit on American that must be used by 12/31/20 - hopefully will get used
Europe - credits on 3 flights for 2 people around $800 USD that hopefully can be re-booked for 2021.  Waiting on one refund for LOT for $240.  Waiting on a $800 refund for one hotel that I'm confident I will get.

I’m still waiting on Lot and Swiss Airline refunds or vouchers.  This wait is ridiculous.

Lost Zero.  All my air bnb's were refundable, and refunded, and I was driving to California, so saved all that gas money so far.  Plus, I didn't have to take 10 days of LWOP, so I actually made money so far.  By the time they reschedule, I will have started earning leave, so may get paid for the trip, when we get to go.  We were only doing the 5 california shows.

Finally got through to speak to Lot Airlines.  They said 4 month wait from time of request.  Should receive full refund since flight was cancelled.

Ryanair is providing refunds “when the crisis is over” or words to that effect.

I’ve heard from people who have already received refunds from Ryan Air.

I’ve submitted my refund claim for a cancelled EasyJet flight - very straight-forward.

Air Canada is a horror show and truly to be avoided by all. They cancelled my flights, booked me to/from different countries and refuse to refund.

Neither Air Canada nor Westjet are giving refunds... just credits towards future flights with a 2 year window.
Same with Southwest Airlines in the States.

Have a lot of money tied up interest-free for future concert vacations. But that is the gamble... it’s not like I didn’t know the rules when I booked.

I lost some to Delta....never did explore trying to get that back

Was really gets me is all the lost kick ass time I would have had at the following shows

    PJ x 2 in Oakland
RATM at Oakland then again in Chicago
    Black Crowes in Nashville
    Black Keys

    fuck 2020

I had a problem with Delta refunding me as well, but after a few emails, they finally refunded my money. They said it would be a one-time thing. I won't be using Delta again.
