dang, I refreshed the tab I had open on the "featured" site on the shop about once a day at random, and then bam - no email out to members, and they are all sold out of the Ames print.

So, what is the deal with the crazy price. Is a large portion of proceeds going to help a non-profit?

I think they’re just undercutting the flippers.

I reeeeally like Krzysztof's print, but I just can't justify the expense, especially now with so much uncertainty. At $50 I would've done it, but at $250, it's just too rich for my blood.

I imagine the price in someway is helping these artists who had show prints ready to go for the upcoming tour eat for a bit while everythings locked up

Maybe more copies at 50$ could do the same.

I suspect they would lose a (giga)ton of money on these at $50, given the size of the prints, high-quality paper, deckled edges, etc.

Look on "Lost Dogs" and find what posters sell for $50. The artists and band created these limited prints for a pop-up shop, specifically as collectible higher-priced art and are well aware of the after-market prices all the regular posters go for. I think $250 was a good price on prints of this size, on the type of paper used. Go to any gallery and see what large limited edition prints go for there.

I am pretty sure they will have some 10 club scaled down versions at  some point for around 50?

Why are you "pretty sure" of this? Nothing ten club has ever done would indicate a reprint of a limited poster or any other limited edition merch.

What about the pop up shops in 2013 selling unnumbered Benny's, the vinyl remastered box sets, and then their vinyl catalog reprint?
Ames did the big versions of the 98' posters. For me, the term "Limited Edition" is synonymous with "Sold out." I cannot remember any posters not having both AP and a non AP versions not to mention the alt versions. I think they want to make them available to fans who cannot afford 250.00 for a poster. That's all. Just speculating.

Pretty shocked Ken's & Kyzysztof's are still available. They sold out in under a minute on their official website a while back. :|
