I live in Truro which is about 40km from Portapique...so pretty close to where the events started. We are all pretty stunned and devastated by the events that happened yesterday. The RCMP held a news conference this afternoon and the count now is at 19 and more are expected in the coming days. 16 crime scenes...5 homes burned to the ground...which is making it more difficult to find/identify victims remains. I feel so horribly sad for all the families who suffered losses yesterday with the outbreak of COVID-19 and not being able to properly grieve with family, friends and loved ones to get the love and support they need. Such a terrible senseless act.0

RCMP have identified 16 separate crime scenes and now report at least 19 dead, with some suspected victims still missing.Very little info has been released about the killer. Although many of the victims seem to be random, apparently one was a “Correctional officer”, making me wonder if the guy was already under some sort of legal order.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0
