Someone from Halifax can’t be anti-gun? Someone from Halifax can’t understand or feel the pain of 20 1st and 2nd graders being murdered in their classrooms a week before Christmas? And seeing a president have to deal, be affected, age, personalize it, and have to move on and yet, Wayne Lapiere, came out sneering, “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun.” And then, someone from Halifax watches it happen again and again and again, and sees nothing change. And now, the chickens have come home to roost and all you got? Thoughts and prayers, thoughts and fucking prayers. Lets see what happens next, but maybe you’d like to consult with the NRA? Or team Trump Treason as Virginia’s 2A is under siege? Or maybe America, because gun sales are through the roof, again, because of a pandemic?

Once fucking again, I’m sorry this happened. I feel for the victims and their families, loved ones, friends and co-workers. But don’t take comfort in America. Do what is right. Make change for the better. You CAN do it. AmeriCANT.

You couldn’t just stay out of this thread? Nobody wants to read your rants here. There’s enough of them in other threads. Are u ok? Seriously. Seems like you’re losing it.
You came into this thread simply to complain about someone else coming into this thread to post?

    Oh, the irony.
And then you did the same.

I hope this was not Covid 19/financial pressure led to this...but that was a thought that can mind.

however, it seemed welled planned.  The shooter had a police uniform and similar police cruiser that the RCMP use.

With everything going on, mental health is definitely something that I’ve been worried about since this started. What a tragedy

It's something I was wondering about the other day. What kind of future are we setting ourselves up for based on the impacts of this virus? Between the virus and the continued political divides, I'm very intrigued about how children will come out of this time period. Many are resilient as hell and will be fine, but I feel that in some ways there's a fostering of extremism that could result in some serious ramifications 10 - 15 years from now.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Let’s also remember the good people of Nova Scotia...unlike past senseless tragedies, the community can not come together and grieve and support one another.  The families who lost loved ones will not be able to grieve be physically together for funeral/grieve.  The RRMP constable shot dead will not get a full a proper RCMP funeral, and these funerals are often attended by police officers/front line workers...

so unfortunately in many ways this a much different mass shooting...

Feel free to discuss whatever...just keep it respectful and do not get this thread closed.  I am sure there are 10 club members from Atlantic Canada...I want this thread open so they will have a place to discuss, if/when they are ready...

This is going to get political...that's our nature.  Of course this is first and foremost tragedy.  It's terrible for the victims and for Nova Scotia (which is like hearing about a mass shooting on Leave it to Beaver).  And I agree with the above post that the inability of come together is just piling on. I'm not the praying type...if I was, I'd pray for Nova Scotia...otherwise, there's not much I can say beyond how horrible this is and how saddened I am that this happened there, and happens anywhere.

That said, I've always been ashamed that the United States is the place where this happens.  But I want that distinction to go away by it no longer happening here...not by it happening elsewhere.  It's disheartening to see anywhere, but I hope this doesn't become trendy in Canada, too.

18 dead now.  RCMP are warning there may be more victims...the shooting spree was vast, I believe a 100 km stretch.  The police have not been to all areas that the shooter travelled...it almost seems like they expect more victims...just terrible

I can't believe how well the car was done. There was another officer that said if she  passed that on the street, she wouldn't have noticed it was a fake

Complaining about the poster again? Not about the subject to be discussed? Again? Are you okay? Seriously. Seems like you’ve lost it. Why’d you read it, then? Just wondering why you couldn’t ignore or respond with cogence? On a forum full of thoughts and ideas no less, sheesh.
The person who started the thread told you to keep your nonsense out of here. Just echoing his thoughts. You’ve made this thread about you. Man, keep the pm’s coming fellow posters. At least I know I’m not the only one who is sick of this.
That’s funny, I wasn’t quoted. I think you’ve made this about you and your safe space. Sick of what? Differing opinions?

When you can’t refute an alternate argument, be a bully.

Nonsense? You wanna talk nonsense in the realm of gun violence? Or would you rather ignore it and bully other posters who have a passionate opinion about it?

The person who started the thread asked you to keep your nonsense out of here. No ones bullying you. Who said anything about a safe space. What are you actually talking about. Holy shit.
