It's everything I needed it to be at this moment in my life. Just phenomenal. Don't know what else to say right now. One note of criticism: my 40 year old eyes can't read the production notes at the bottom of the lyric pages lol.

Ive never really completely immersed myself in soundgarden other than being a casual fan, so i could be off here, but it sounds to me like Eddie is channeling Chris Cornell on his vocal at the end of quick escape.

Will have a better review later but I can see a show starting with "River Cross" as an opener into "Quick Escape" then right into "Take the Long Way"

There are a couple songs that are very familiar but most are “new/unexpected” - which is AWESOME

One listen in and can’t believe how good it is. I really liked their last three albums but I think this one might be better. Maybe their best since Yield. Quick Escape is just phenomenal. So happy for the guys to have this level of success almost 30 years in. And for us to have this gift during awful times.

Played it on loop for 8 hours at work today.  Still can't get over how good Quick Escape is, and 2 different times I skipped back to play Comes Then Goes 4 consecutive times.  Now I just can't wait to see them live to see which ones I underplayed.

Ive probably listened to this album 10 times by now. Im really digging it. I might love it, but not sure yet. Still digesting. I do at least feel comfortable saying its their best album since riot act in my opinion. Time will tell how i feel about it relative to the rest of the catalog.

My major critique at the moment is the inclusion of never destination. It falls in line with supersonic and let the records play from the last two albums. It just sounds silly and pointless in the context of the rest of the songs, but i guess the band mustve liked it enough.
And I think never destination is a top three on the album lol.  I absolutely love the flow of the song.
It has a very black, red , yellow feel to it.
Love it as well, not in my top 3 but it has some serious grit to it without being overly aggressive

There isn't a single song to skip. I really love Gigaton and would definitely rank it in my top 3 PJ albums. Seven o' clock is an amazing masterpiece. I can't even find a song that a dont like.

Can someone please have a sober, "It's okey but..." review?

I don't trust hype-people. It's like reading twitter reviews of upcoming Star Wars movies. Haha.

I don't have the time right now for a longer review but my take would be: It's ok as in better than the last two records but it certainly has too many songs I skip right away to be better than anything pre Avocado. Quick Escape ist really great but I don't get how anybody could find Seven O'Clock appealing. That song is muzak.

    7OC - Can I officially call it that?  :)  SoC?  7oC? ...  Edit:  7:00 wins

It's just a Bruce song until the last 2 minutes and the last 2 are great.

    Comes Then Goes....chills and tears

Yes!  Actually, the whole album does this to me!  I listened in bed last night with headphones and was totally blown away.  Every song gave me the chills!  I love the sound of this album.....hell, I love everything about this record.  Perfect album released at the right time!  Thank you Pearl Jam!

    ebow ala WWS to start.

sounds like Supersonic a lot more, but a much better tune with much better lyrics.

Quick Escape is amazing. And when I say amazing, I don't mean Olé-amazing - I mean Riot Act era amazing.
