probably second for me.  i saw metallica in a huge field with about 40,000 people and there was a line of ambulances after the show.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
  • Rage was the absolute craziest pit I have ever seen. I saw them at Shoreline Amp in like 97 I believe. It was madness. But the energy that came off that stage was like no band I have ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot of bands. Rage was a whole other level. Maybe with age, the band and it’s fans have mellowed a little. But holy crap. I wish I was going to a show.

Sounds like the assholes whom used to go to the hardcore shows to beat people up.

They used to get sucker punched for being jerks.

Ha! funny you talk about that energy. I was at the '97 U2 show in Eugene with Rage opening..... HOLY FUCK..  There were some older U2 fans that had this WTF look on there face while Rage was playing. The raw force of those four guys is magical.  Zack is such a great fucking front man.  I was in my mid twenty's at the time so I'm jumping up and down singing every line to every song while most were looking at me like I was crazy..  Great memories.. This tour will be the first time seeing Rage since then... cant wait
  • Go Ducks!!! That sounds like a weird but awesome show. Yea, that band is no joke. Still trying to score tickets to an Oakland show. Have fun at your show.

I saw them at a festival in 2008 and it was still crazy then. Best crowd I've ever been part of.

Didnt get floor? Not to worry. Its RATM.

Back in 99 when GenX was leading the charge I was stuck in the upper deck in Detroit. Organization began between the opening band and Rage to rush the floor. At least 75% of the upper deck queued up on the main concourse in the concession areas. There were 2 main floor rushes. Looking back up at least 75% of the upper deck was now on the floor. It was just a swirling mass of chaos. It wasnt controlled like a metallica or pantera pit.

The SWAT team was there in full body armor, batons, shields, the works. They were pushed back as 2 guys with batons and shields cant stop thousands charging down some stairs. If you wanted floor you were on the floor. Unless you were the poor sap who they managed to club.

We will see if these millennials and generation z types are as angry as we were in the 90s or if they are as soft as the are portrayed.

I'm an old head now, I'll enjoy my seat but I hope to see the kids carrying on the legacy.

I was thinking of getting my area organized to fold up our chairs and make it another GA area?  We are on the floor.

Either that or jump the rail?  I'm hoping a few still want to do it, lol.

I was on the floor for Rage at the Philly Spectrum in 1999. Two or three songs in (People of the Sun), I took an elbow to the side of the head that still to this day is the hardest hit I ever took in any circumstance. I was concussed for days.

Rage back in 1996 at rose land, nyc was one of the most insane shows I have ever been too.  I was up near the rail waiting for the show to start, all was quiet.   Zach comes out “hi we are Rage Against the Machine and we are from Los Angeles, California.” To starts up o. Guitar and chaos ensues.  Before long my lip was split open, nose bleeding and countless boots and elbows cracked against my head.  Awesome time
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

After the show started it sound like horrible time, but that’s cause I’m old. In 96, your right, I would have loved it. Rage is unreal. Powerful.
