Almost 1M views, let’s keep it up.  The left doesn’t care about people, don’t believe the lies.  Caring about people happens with action, not words.  Clean up homeless camps and give them a safe healthy alternative.  Legalizing drugs and eliminating laws is an awful stance to take and it turns our backs on our fellow Americans who need help. Clean up our liberal led cities, they’re a disgusting eyesore in an amazing country of prosperity and opportunity.
Why do you think I don't care about people?  Do you think you know me well enough to make that judgment?

Sounds like he made up his mind based on what is said on a fucking message board somewhere in the abyss that is the interwebs. Ironic, really. Talk about not dealing with things on a human to human level.

See my previous comment. He has an open invitation to come to where I live.

I've  seen and used a lot of different words to describe supporters of the currently elected president.
    Never thought I'd use these.....

Typical response around here but I found the article interesting. Though I didn’t bring myself to do it, I myself considered attending a Trump rally in 2016 as a sort of sociological experiment. Just to see what the vibe was. Is everyone just brainwashed and think he’s all-knowing? Do they laugh when he says ridiculous bullshit? What are the demographics of the attendees? What type of live performer (because it’s all performance art anyway) is Trump and how is he pulling this off? All worthwhile questions to ask.

Or you can skip trying to understand the phenomenon and just dismiss them all as racist hillbillies. That’s worked real well over the past four years.
It starts out with a knitting enthusiast lamenting the cancel culture touching the biggest "knitting stars" on Instagram
    How is that not hilarious???
That was pretty hilarious. But the premise of crashing a Trump rally out of morbid curiosity does interest me because I’ve thought of doing it myself. Like studying an actual cult from the inside...without the possibility of being killed for it doing it.

(Let me guess. There WOULD be a possibility of me being killed for doing it because they’re all gun toting nutjubs.)
The even more hilarious part is that this supposed Democrat is seduced by the "rock show" vibe of the rally and falls in love with all the positivity.  As if his rants are just sunshine and rainbows articulated better than a grade schooler...
And he wondered what the “demographics” of the attendees are. Where has he been for the past three years?
They only show the people standing behind Trump as he speaks. Who knows who else is in the crowd?

But who cares right? Just a bunch of deplorable hillbillies I guess.
And the crowd gets panned and there’s footage of the line ups. I’m sure there are YouTube videos as well. Are you going to argue that it’s a cross representation of a diverse America? By all means, attend wearing your MAGA hat, to blend in, and report back. Maybe periscope it?
I guess I haven’t seen as many Trump rallies as you so I haven’t seen those crowd shots. And I’m not going to argue that it’s a cross representation of America. I just don’t think they’re all deplorable. But we’ve had this conversation before so there’s no need to rehash. You think the deplorables caused the Trump presidency. I think smug liberals like yourself that look down your noses at said deplorables caused them to cause Trump.

You hit the nail on the head with myself and a lot of my friends.  We all voted liberal and were Dems for many elections prior to 2016.  The hate spewed by the left as well as the constant negativity and insults caused myself and many others I’ve met to vote for the other side.  One particular angry cocky individual on another forum I use regularly personally caused me to cast a vote for trump/repubs for the first time in my life.  We are all much happier and although we don’t all like Trump’s personna/tweets and his behavior, it’s obvious he’s in it for the country, is persistent in his approach, and is fixing things for minority groups and those who were talked at in the past but never actually helped.
I don't agree with the bolded part, but I won't insult you for thinking that either (like others around here might).

I have some similarities with some of the other things you said. I was a life-long Democrat-voter as well. In 2015, I left the Democratic party and became (and still am) an independent, and wanted to vote for a Republican for president in 2016. I hit a snag though in that I would have been happy to vote for a Romney-type, and even Jeb would've sufficed, but I wouldn't vote for Trump. Because, as I said, I disagree with the bolded part. I think he's a complete shyster. So I reluctantly voted for Hillary. But I understand your protest vote for Trump based on constant negativity and insults from the left. While I didn't go the full-monty and vote for Trump, when I got home from the polls that day, I sorta found myself cheering for him. On a side note, I bet my father $20 that Trump would win, but that's not why I found delight in him winning. It was funny to watch all these pompous, holier-than-thou, know-it-all liberals have their world turned on it's head by some gameshow host/pro wrestler/crooked casino owner. And he's beaten them at every turn since, and will likely beat them in November. And I will laugh my ass off again when it happens.....but I still won’t be voting for him.

The U.S. intelligence community long ago produced evidence of Russia’s illegal interference in the 2016 presidential election to try to boost Donald Trump’s candidacy. Then the special counsel investigating the matter detailed myriad ways President Trump sought to stymie the probe. And then Robert S. Mueller III testified to Congress about Trump’s conduct — and warned of Russia’s continued interest in thwarting U.S. elections.

But it is Trump who is trying to have the last word.

Seven months after Mueller’s marathon testimony brought finality to the Russia investigation, Trump is actively seeking to rewrite the narrative that had been meticulously documented by federal law enforcement and intelligence officials, both for immediate political gain and for history.

Turbocharged by his acquittal in the Senate’s impeachment trial and confident that he has acquired the fealty of nearly every Republican in Congress, Trump is claiming vindication and exoneration not only over his conduct with Ukraine — for which the House voted to impeach him — but also from the other investigations that have dogged his presidency.
This includes lawsuits filed against Trump by the state of New York over his finances as well as alleged misuse of charity funds by his nonprofit foundation. Trump sought last week to turn the page on these probes, declaring on Twitter ahead of a White House meeting with Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D) that “New York must stop all of its unnecessary lawsuits & harrassment.”

Still, Russia is foremost on Trump’s mind. Since even before he was sworn in as president, Trump has viewed the FBI’s Russia investigation as a dark cloud over his administration that threatened to delegitimize his claim on the office. And more than three years in, Trump remains haunted by all things Russia, according to advisers and allies, and continues to nurse a profound and unabiding sense of persecution.

As his reelection campaign intensifies, Trump is using the powers of his office to manipulate the facts and settle the score. Advisers say the president is determined to protect his associates ensnared in the expansive Russia investigation, punish the prosecutors and investigators he believes betrayed him, and convince the public that the probe was exactly as he sees it: an illegal witch hunt.
“The whole Mueller investigation was a shakedown and a disgrace. It probably should be expunged,” Trump said in an interview last week with radio commentator Geraldo Rivera, a longtime friend.

Referring to Mueller, Trump added, “I don’t call him special counsel because special counsel is not an accurate term. It’s a special prosecutor, because what he and his 13 angry Democrats — all horrible, just horrible people — what they did to destroy the lives of people that you know, but to destroy the lives of many, Geraldo, should never be forgiven, should never be forgotten, and something has to be done about it.”

Central to this pursuit were Trump’s efforts this past week to lessen the government’s sentencing recommendation for longtime friend and adviser Roger Stone. Attorney General William P. Barr’s extraordinary intervention on the Stone case, as well as Trump’s own declaration of his right to meddle in criminal cases whenever he chooses, tested the nation’s rule of law and sent chills throughout the Justice Department, which has long shielded its independence from political influences.

The criminal justice system could soon be tested further. U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson — whom Trump targeted and disparaged last week — is set to decide Stone’s sentence on Thursday. The president has indicated he may commute Stone’s sentence. Asked last week whether he was open to issuing a pardon, Trump told reporters, “I don’t want to say that yet.”

Last week alone, Trump called the Russia investigation “tainted,” “dirty,” “rotten,” “illegal,” “phony,” a “disgrace,” a “shakedown,” a “scam,” “a fixed hoax” and “the biggest political crime in American History, by far.”

He argued that the probe into Russian election interference was based on false pretenses, despite a recent report from the Justice Department’s inspector general stating the opposite even as it criticized the FBI’s surveillance of a former Trump campaign aide. And he claimed, again without evidence, that Mueller, a former FBI director regarded for his precision with facts, lied to Congress — which happens to be one of the charges Stone was convicted of by a jury last November.
Absent from the president’s many public comments about the Russia investigation, however, was a warning to Russia not to interfere in the next election, or even an acknowledgment that U.S. intelligence agencies believe Russian President Vladimir Putin is seeking to do so.

“As Bob Mueller said — and the entire intelligence community confirmed — Russia is still coming at us,” said Chuck Rosenberg, a former U.S. attorney and former counsel to Mueller at the FBI. “Not only is the president offering a false narrative to the American people about that threat, but there is no leadership from him on this incredibly important issue. We are still being attacked. It is as if the Russians invaded Alaska and the president either said they are not actually there or that they are there but it does not really matter because we have 49 other marvelous states.”

I don't mean any disrespect but this is quite possibly the dumbest reason I've ever seen someone give for casting a ballot for a candidate. One guy on a message board, presumably someone you don't even know in real life, caused you to vote for Trump? First time voting for a republican in your life? Amazing how much power this anonymous individual on the internet has wielded upon you. What the fuck.

You're the same guy who argued before that the economy magically started turning around in 2017. Not sure I buy this story of never voting for a republican before.

The second part of this post is....well, I just needed a laugh today. Thanks for stopping by.

    Idle threats

Trump still thinks he can use lawsuits to push people around. Discovery is going to be a b**** on this one.

He's a coward and won't follow through, watch

Friendly reminder, if Trump pardoned stone, the guilty judgement still stands, and stone can't assert his fifth amendment rights anymore

Collusion? Treason? According the constitution, congress DOES NOT set foreign policy, the pres does.  Comes out on Twitter about this only AFTER this article comes out from the federalist. Oh well, doesn’t matter if the left does it, because, well, orange man bad and all that.

Iran, if you’re listening, Bernie’s campaign would love to have a copy of the PTape. And while you’re at it, post Team Trump Treason’s tax returns to the interwebs and expose the contents of the National Inquirer safe.

Since you point to the Constitution, you should know that the definition of treason is actually articulated in the document.  "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court."

Has Congress declared war on Iran?  Is the senator levying war against the US?  Are you educated at all on the Constitution?

Why are you bringing up the Constitution?
Republican politicians and voters don't care about the Constitution or the rule of law.
As long as the currently elected president claims to be a lover of christ, guns, and forced birth and their 401K keeps going up they just dont care what he says or does.

We are all much happier and although we don’t all like Trump’s personna/tweets and his behavior, it’s obvious he’s in it for the country, is persistent in his approach, and is fixing things for minority groups and those who were talked at in the past but never actually helped.
    god gawd.

    this is satire, right?

    "hate spewed by the left"
"one person on (the internet) caused me to vote for trump"
"it's obvious (trump) is in it for the country"
    "FIXING THINGS FOR MINORITY GROUPS"

congratulations, you've been duped by an idiot.
    Darwinspeed, all.

    Cheers,

    HFD

Why would he sue anyone when he can just wait until the day after the election and have federal agents kick in their doors and drag them away never to be heard from again?
