They've done many Ed solos in a band song. Also both versions of SBM are greatLedbetterman10 said:
Ugh, don't tell me it's an Eddie solo song or something that's being reworked by the band. Like Sleeping By Myself.igotid88 said:

I liked the tease for the single but from here on out, I think I just want the album's songs in their entirety all at once. I'm not even going to check out that Verizon commercial where apparently a new song was played.on2legs said:Simmons podcast is back to the regular Corduroy intro. Was hoping there might be another new song tease. Maybe as we get closer to the release date they’ll drop another.

New podcast is up with interview with Dave Grohl. As usual Dave is a really interesting person to hear interviewed.
 Bill does a mostly good job with the interview but he consistently does one thing that makes me roll my eyes. He always works in a reference to his kids when the subject is telling some amazing story. Dave Grohl is telling a story about having his daughter on stage singing in front of 80,000 people and Bill interrupts him to talk about his daughter playing soccer. We get this reference about a soccer tournament in every interview. He just needs to let people talk sometime.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

            Also for anyone that listens to the podcast. There’s a short snippet where Bill interrupts Dave and starts telling him a story about Pearl Jam and that Eddie almost broke up the band. Dave’s reaction is kinda interesting. Almost like he knows Bill is full of crap but doesn’t want to get into it. So he just says oh really? and then is like So anyway... and then goes back to his story about playing a festival and meeting Robert Smith.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

I listened to it. Simmons was a little off, but not completely. There was certainly tension within the band in the mid-90's. Eddie seemed to really take over creatively on Vitalogy, and Mike notes in the PJ20 movie that Eddie traveled to shows separate from the band at times in 1995, and implied that Eddie might have thought he was bigger than the band. So "Eddie almost broke up the band" might not be entirely accurate, but things weren't very rosy at that time either.on2legs said:Also for anyone that listens to the podcast. I agree with you about the tension and didn’t mean to imply otherwise. I just meant that Bill has zero inside knowledge of that dynamic and seemed to be speaking like an authority. And I feel like Dave’s response was kind of like he knows the real deal but didn't want going to go there and changed the topic.Ledbetterman10 said:

His podcasts have pretty much become unlistenable for me the past couple years. Like you said, he never shuts up about his kids and his daughters soccer team. I wish he would go back to writing. I really only listen to the NFL podcasts with Cousin Sal these days and that's mostly because Sal is hilariouson2legs said:New podcast is up with interview with Dave Grohl. If Kobe’s death didnt get him to write a column nothing else will. His future is obviously podcasting and with selling it to Spotify he’s definitely proven how valuable its worth. I think the column and the Q&A days are long gone.0

            He didn’t even bother to write the part II of his basketball book. He just turned it into a podcast.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

That's a shame too because I loved that book, but it was outdated within a year of it's release. I can't help but laugh at the LeBron section of the pyramid. He starts it off by naming the date LeBron chose to go to Miami as "the night basketball was murdered in Cleveland." Yeah...because basketball was doing so great in Cleveland before LeBron showed up. Since then, he won two titles with Miami, came back and won one with Cleveland (a nice way of making up for MURDERING THEM), and now he's a Laker! So much has changed.on2legs said:He didn’t even bother to write the part II of his basketball book. He just turned it into a podcast.
That said, I've liked a few episodes of the BOB 2.0 podcast. The ones on Shaq and Kobe were interesting.

I for one enjoy his podcasts. Perfect mix of sports, humor, media, film, music, and yes, family. Every podcast with him is like hanging with a friend.
