    well got my answer.  ouch.

    WOW.  denied.  my one show request.  my home town show.  total bummer.  in the scheme of things, first time ever shut out so really, very fortunate.  beyond that, as much as i love PJ, and i so do - so much so that i've seen them 45+ times in 7 countries ... in the end, it's just a concert.  big bummer though. 
    i don't know if it's possible, but i don't understand how some can get 4-6 shows they put in for, and people who put in for one get nothing. i can appreciate how much work they do to make sure fans get the tickets without having to pay scalpers, but man, this would be tough to swallow for me. 
    There are a fuckload of threads about this on the Porch.

    I wasn't miffed. Nor was it venting. Feel bad for those that got shut out. Just happened to be thinking about it. it doesn't affect me. I didn't feel like joining the bitching, which is why I posted it here. 

    and I didn't consider decides2dream's post bitching either. quite the opposite.

    hedo, your response seemed quite salty to me. not "helpful" (especially since it would be painfully obvious to anyone here that there are multiple threads). and again, I wasn't "bitching".

    Came across some old private messages from two beloved friends.  They were with me on the old Sony BBS back in the late '90's...even witnessing (encouraging?!) the start of a 20+ year love between myself and another board member (now my husband :) ).

    Brad Savage from 91.3 The Summit played DOTC today.  He said it was from the upcoming album from Pearl Jam called, "Gigantor."

    Brad is kind of an idiot. Same guy who announced the wrong dates for a Jim James concert in CLE a year or so ago. Kept saying that Pixies "Head Carrier" was "the first proper album since Doolittle." (Never mind that there were 3 full albums, a greatest hits, Live at the BBC and The Purple Tape, which I believe might be considered an EP.) 

    Now it is just a pause in the workday to see what else Brad will screw up.
