I do apologize for you voicing a concern , I think the past couple of days have been nothing but negative comments. I feel it goes from I love this band , why don't they tour , were is the new album to why is the tour sold out and I did not get in? Lottery Sucks? Why do they still use Ticketmaster? Ect ect.

After reading the article someone posted It seemed to effect everyone whom went thru Stubhub that day for tickets. Since the barcode changes ever few seconds and they screen shot them the tickets , therefore could not get it.

Just recently went to a show at the House Of Blues in Boston and they used this new ticket system I was so confused because when you pull the tickets up there is nothing there ( no bar code or anything ). When I pulled it from my apple wallet I then had to enter my phone passcode again and the ticket turned a slightly different color ( again no bar code ) and there scanner made a beep and I was in ( I still have an iPhone 6) so there should not be that many issue I would hope.

Again all the negativity was a bit much so again I apologize for you sharing information with everyone else that could help them.

    My bad.

    Be well.

I appreciate that. Yeah, the negativity on the board is more than a bit much, and I don't have much if any tolerance for trolls.

The Black Keys thing was from the non-transfer, mostly from fans trying to resell their tickets.  It was disclosed that the show would be non-transferrable, however often times ticketmaster will say this then reverse course, so perhaps some people thought that would happen with the black keys show.

Does this mean I can’t put my tickets in the wallet app? I have to use the Ticketmaster app only? And is this for just the Ten Club tickets or for the Ticketmaster presale tickets as well (not that I’ve gotten the presale code, but in case I do and can get a couple more tickets). Forgive me, but I’m an old lady and this technology is difficult sometimes.

And I have an iPhone 6 that can barely hold a charge anymore, but I’m afraid to upgrade and lose everything that’s already in my wallet!

Some shows they've allowed you to add them to your apple wallet.  SafeTix really is meant to "combat counterfeit tickets" in reality they do it so someone cant get around shows that say no resell no transfer.

Pretty sure the only way you will be able to do this is if you have the app they tell us to use and connectivity.  Wallet will not, as I understand from others here, be an option.
That being stated, I am sure they will make it clear once they provide tickets.

Good share on the experience you had.  My concern is more over the connectivity availability - HoB is a small venue and likely would not flood the local circuits.
We will see.  if they have been using this for a while they must have run into this and sorted it.  (Or, perhaps I give them too much credit..but have to figure lots of people stuck outside of shows with legitimate tickets is not a good look for them.)
Your post reminded me of an experience I had last summer. We flew to Glasgow to see some shows at Kelvingrove Park as part of their Summer Nights fest. I bought my tickets on my computer and the only option available was mobile, with a dynamic changing blue bar at the top of each ticket. I tried to download the ticketmaster UK app to my phone, but I couldn't since my phone is registered as a US one. Now, I possibly may have been able to get a new sim card and try to download once I was in the UK, but I wasn't about to take that chance. I was able to view my tickets when I logged in thru safari, but I was concerned that there might not be sufficient wifi / cell signal at show time and after a lot of back and forth, we convinced TM to print hard tickets for me and I would get them at will call.

As it turned out, the cellular service was strong and I was able to access my mobile tickets thru safari, however, the capacity of the venue is just 2,500. I have been at MSG many times where it is impossible to get a signal strong enough to send a text, much less download or send a photo. This may be a problem for people traveling from overseas if they are unable to download and install the TM USA app. Just one more thing to take into consideration.

The problem with the Black Keys show wasn't Ticketmaster, or Safetix, it was StubHub allowing tickets to be sold to a show with no transferable tickets.

By definition all tickets on StubHub would have to be transferred.

You'll notice that there is no way to sell tickets on StubHub to any PJ show except for NY and Den which have to allow tickets to be transferred by law.

StubHub also blocks tickets from being listed for some charity shows, like the Chris Cornell tribute show.

I think it'd be helpful for those with SafeTix concerns to read their FAQ:

    https://www.ticketmaster.com/safetix
    Some highlights:

I’m worried about my battery or cell service, what do I do?

If either is an issue, this ticket has you covered. Once you view it in our App, your ticket is automatically saved so it’s always ready.

I lost my phone, what do I do?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you. Simply visit the box office at the venue upon arrival. Have your ID and order number handy and you will be issued a physical ticket.

What if I don’t have a smartphone or my phone is broken?

If you have a cracked screen, or are just not using a smart device – no problem. Simply visit the box office at the venue upon arrival. Have your ID and order number handy and you will be issued a physical ticket.

Sweet, these are good answers.  No reason to worry if we are prepared.  Don't understand how the image is saved if it changes all of the time but who cares how, this is clear and I am not concerned after reading.

just think of it as a Verification device, something that gives you a banking code or your google 2FA code, you dont need web connectivity for the algorithm to run in the background.  So the barcode refreshed every 30-60 seconds.   Its really something users should not be worried about using.  Its more meant to prevent people from reselling shows that TM says they cant (they cant screenshot the barcode since it changes so frequently)

Oh the fun things you learn working in the entertainment industry.

To all the people who felt the need to chime in on another thread to scream that is was either "unreasonable" or "insane" to ask the Ten Club whether physical tickets would be made available for people without smartphones, this particular Q and A suggests that even Ticketmaster wouldn't find such a request unreasonable, let alone insane.  (And the Ten Club responded to the question by saying it will get its members in one way or another.)

I think its important to remember that Ticketnews is an ticket broker industry source, so the safetix system isnt exactly in their readers best interest.

    No.

The box office needs your ID if your phone breaks and you need to get your ticket from them the night of the show.  Which is typically an extremely small portion of individuals.

So then I can "borrow" someone else's ticketmaster account to get into the show.  Giving a friend the ability to "transfer" the ticket to me...

If your friend want to give you the log in information for their TM then sure, you beat the system and have full access to their TM account.  But you'll still need to enter the venue together.

We had to use this system for the Seahawk games this season.  I was, and am still totally against it.  We never had a problem with it, and they seemed to work better on my sons Iphone than my Samsung, only because I couldn't, and still can't figure out how to get them into my wallet, or whatever the samsung thing is for that.  He just carried all 6 of our tickets for each game, and scanned them in easier than with the print at home tickets.  Never a glitch at all, and always just as many, or more people than will be at these arena shows.
