Verified Fan for those who won 10C Lottery
When Verified Fan (VF) was used in 2018, those that had previously won tickets in the Lottery could subsequently purchase VF tickets for the SAME SHOW and then sell those tickets to friends (presumably at face value) who either forgot to sign up, or simply didn't get tickets during the VF sale.  I don't believe that can happen this time around due to the non-transferability of tickets.  Thus, I see no reason for those of us who just won the Lottery, but also signed up for VF, to participate on Thursday for shows for which were already won.  Yes, MAYBE the tickets gained through VF would be better than the ones won through the Lottery for newer 10C members, but my hope would be that Lottery winners, like me, would stay out of VF and give fellow 10C members that did not win Lottery tickets the best possible chance of securing tickets.  Am I missing something here?

That's about right. Except for buying tickets for a show you lost in TC lotto.e360727 said:When Verified Fan (VF) was used in 2018, those that had previously won tickets in the Lottery could subsequently purchase VF tickets for the SAME SHOW and then sell those tickets to friends (presumably at face value) who either forgot to sign up, or simply didn't get tickets during the VF sale. They can bring those friends in with them, or as you said, hope to score better tickets.0

So if someone does win/buy 4 Verified Fan tickets all four people have to walk in at the exact same time and show the 4 tickets on one phone?0
 -
I got tickets for the one show I wanted, so if chosen by Verified Fan I won't be purchasing anymore tickets. So that's one less person in the way of people who got shutout.

Good luck on winners not trying for extra VF seats. For example I won 3 pairs of BA for SD and both LA shows, but the problem is I have a wife (who has seen PJ), two kids who have never seen them, and a good friend who has never seen them. At first glance the wife is out...but I am debating buying two VF tix to one of the LA shows so she at least gets to go to one. Too bad we won't know where we are sitting with 10C tix until after the VF sale as if I won GA for one and seats for the other, then I'd buy the two extras for the show where we're seated. Ugh...well, I guess since LA2 was my 3rd priority, that has the worst chance for GA for me, so I may buy another pair for that show and we'll just be split up in seats.208XXX (September 2000) - 21 Pearl Jam shows, 2 Eddie Vedder shows, 1 Temple Of The Dog show

This is right - everyone who participates in the Ten Club lottery is the "Pearl Jam Guy" (/Gal) for a number of other people.Spartanacus said:Good luck on winners not trying for extra VF seats. I, too, am the "Pearl Jam Guy" for friends, but I fail to see how I can be that person during VF if I already won 10C tickets to the same show. I can only enter the show once and so if I have 10C tickets AND VF tickets, one set of those tickets would go unused. In the past, I would use the 10C tickets and "give away" the VF tickets, but I don't think that can happen this time. Again, what am I missing?0

If you have 6 tickets, 2 from 10C, 4 from VF or General, just walk in all together.e360727 said:I, too, am the "Pearl Jam Guy" for friends, but I fail to see how I can be that person during VF if I already won 10C tickets to the same show. It's a good question that those of us in NY don't really have to contend with. Hopefully the venues have thought through the implications that non-transferability has on people getting to their seats, taking bathroom breaks, getting beers etc. At the concert venue in Forest Hills they use a system where you need photo ID and/or a credit card to get in, but then they print you out little paper receipts as you enter that you can distribute to everyone with you.e360727 said:I, too, am the "Pearl Jam Guy" for friends, but I fail to see how I can be that person during VF if I already won 10C tickets to the same show. Why wouldn't you try for vf/public on sale? If you got seats through 10c and get great seats through one of the other sales, you can simply sell your 10c tickets and keep the better ones. If you get worse seats through vf/public sale you can find someone that will want them.0

Yes. The question is what happens after that. In the worst-case scenario (where the ushers at each entry are checking phone tickets and they're all trapped on your phone), you'd have to walk two of your friends to their seats before heading to yours with one other friend. You could come and go freely, your seat buddy could only take a leak if you let him take your phone, and the other two would be stuck in place for the duration.Spartanacus said:Okay, now you guys have me worrying a little. As the one who started this thread, I amazingly had not through the fact that "all of my party" could walk in together so I think you are fine. My bad. The only caveat is that if you were the person responsible for securing two 10C AND four VF tickets, one of those six tickets would go unused, right, since you personally would account for 2 of the tickets? Would love to be proven wrong by those of you that are one step ahead of me. Thanks.0

Once you're in you can send screenshots as the changing barcode won't matter anymore. Per the Ticketmaster guy on the XM forum thing last week.tdawe said:

Okay cool, thanks. I'd only buy two VF seats so I'd have four total. And yes, I am the one buying the two 10C and two VF tix...but I don't think a seat would go unused like you said. Not sure they care who pulled the trigger online for the VF tix right, as anyone could have gotten the code an ordered them. And like the guy after me said (he beat me to the point), I would simply screen shot the two VF mobile tix and text them to my other two family members to use to get in and out of their seats...like I do for every other event I go to where I am the one who bought the tickets. It doesn't apply to me, but they say VF are non-transferable mobile only...so what are they referring to and how would they enforce? Let's say someone in San Diego missed out on getting signed up for VF tickets but a friend in NY did sign up and chose not to try and buy VF tix for their NY show after all. Couldn't the person in NY order two tix for San Diego and text their friends the mobile ticket and they'd just walk up and get in? Nobody will be checking driver's licenses. Not trying to give anyone ideas on circumventing the system (if this 'thinking out loud' topic isn't allowed, I will gladly delete my post). But I just want to make sure I can get my whole family of four into the same show with two 10C tix and two VF tix...and in trying to understand the rules I just wanted to pose the question.e360727 said:As the one who started this thread, I amazingly had not through the fact that "all of my party" could walk in together so I think you are fine.
