Nice work, so far band and crew!  Excitement generated, check.  Great artwork, check.  Can’t wait to hear the music!

..and to all of those people already complaining- I can’t even imagine what it’s like to be you.  I really hope you’re not standing next to me at the shows!  I don’t want/need your negative energy.

    I agree! I think it’s great. I remember they did something similar when announcing the PJ20 tracklist.

    The bands team put 11 posters/billboards up all over the world. Using an AR app on Instagram, taking a picture of the image (which reads GIGATON in the heartbeat font that the band revealed this morning on social media) plays a 14 second animated clip of waterfalls falling off an iceberg and revealing the PJ logo from this morning. There is a bit of audio, but no discernable music. 

    It appears PJ announced the title and album art of their next album OR single. The choice of 11 spots has people speculating the LP will have 11 tracks.

    Personally, I'm feeling this part a little less now that we know the billboards are all the same. Could be 11 tracks but who knows.

    What if the secret to Pearl Jam was the friends we made along the way? 

    I just left a soaked parking lot in Belltown with a bunch of soaked people asking, "Are you getting anything?" It was like a bunch of people eating edibles trying to figure out if they were high. Fucking hilarious.

    under normal circumstances i'm sure i would have fun with this and appreciate it. i'm 45, old, tired and stressed from life. grateful to all of you for figuring it out for me and posting it. now please just give me a new album to help me cope as this band has done for me almost 3 decades

    I’m also 45, stressed, and fatigued with the sameness of daily life. To me this was an interesting change of pace. I don’t use any social media but thinking of a community of fans all over the world getting hyped about new music makes me smile.
