Check out The Neverending Story (feat. Brandi Carlile) by Shooter Jennings on Amazon Music
Find and listen however you can, I don't think many people know about that song she did.
& Off the Same album, rounding off our first set with insanity here is Shooter Jennings and Marilyn Manson w/  a tune called,
Cat People, now on with the countdown on your intoxication station I'm Casey Kasem

That was our look back at 1983 Huey Lewis and the News, cheers Jason P!  Moving up to 2019 the future of good music is in good hands with guys like this 28 year old Tyler Childers, jam band Style at the House of Blues in Boston, so grab a cold one, start tapping your toes & enjoy!!

Kris Kristofferson, one of the best songwriters of our time. ;)
Yeah Me and Bobby McGee was originally a country song.  Thanks Hendo!!

It goes really good with a shot of bourbon, trying to stay in the lounge cars guidelines must include booze. B)

Well, I'm booze-free now, but partaking in some kind bud, as Jeff Spicoli might say.

My introduction to Kris was via A Star is Born in the 70s; had no idea of his musical chops until I got into The Highwaymen.  Then wow!  Those men together kicked some mighty fine ass.

    LOL, RYME!

    Let's set the record straight:

"old bell that jings upon entry":  No need for a bell that rings when the door opens because the door squeaks.  I asked C. one time, "Shouldn't we oil that door hing?"  She said, "Oh no!  That's squeak has been letting us know for years and years when someone's coming in!"

"squeaky wooden floors": The store is located in an old building on Main St. the used to house The Blue Bell Cafe.  About 15 years ago the foundation had to be shored up to prevent damage and make the building safe.  The two guys who did the work made it solid as a rock- one of the reasons my feet hurt big-time at the end of the day.  Nope, no squeaks in that floor.  Placerville Hardware down the street, however, is the oldest hardware store west of the Mississippi River and has plenty of floor squeaks!

"a creepy guy sitting in the back of the store smoking a pipe": Haha!  Actually, most of the employees are ladies- the two owners, my wife and her business partner, and a handful of other women plus the two guys, me and D.  Neither of us are what I would call "creepy" although one is old enough to be the father (but isn't) of the other.  You get to guess which is which. As for smoking pipes- we're all non-smokers... except maybe at home if you know what I mean.

If you ever get out this way, do stop in- it's quite the labyrinth with a great selection of books- probably somewhere around 250,000 titles and new stuff almost every day.

    That's awsome brianlux.
You know without sight all I had was my imagination.
The old squeaky door will suffice.
In that other thread, where you said  "ouch that hurt", I was actually referring to the people who don't care to talk much about Pearl Jam or music at all,  they just post after post after post enjoy provoking. You know what I mean.  And that definitely is not you. You are great person brian, I can tell from all your posts and threads.

This guy never had to dive off the stage to get attention, or have lasers and flying pigs smash drums and guitars I love them all but you know what this guy, he just wrote songs like nobody's business and did his thing.  If you're really good you don't need gimmicks.

Man, I’ve been listening and thinking about Tupac a lot lately. I don’t really get into some of the language and tough guy talk any more, but some songs are just straight poetry, yo!

Same song title, different artist, so as to maintain the country music theme of the thread.

The best PJ show I've ever been to.
I'm watching this in it's entirety today.  A little New Year's treat for myself.
They camouflaged this really well this time, because the first five songs was like a normal show, they brought out Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick and played Bubba O'Reilly,, and then I don't think it was until like the 4th, or 5th song off of Yield in a row, befour it sank in for many of us what was going on.  All of a sudden, the guy next to me, (a 10 clubber from Chicago) we looked at each other and we said they are doing it. =) You know,  holy s*** Woohoo!!
Aaron Rodgers and his offensive line were in attendance,( Because Aaron Rodgers is a huge Pearl Jam fan), we sang Happy Birthday to Tom Petty mid show, and Won't Back Down,  They played, Fucking up late in the show, it was just one of those rare moments start to finish.
The Yield Show my friends, Milwaukee!!

    Feel free to join me!!
Happy New Year, & Cheers Y'all!!

This guy Tyler Childers can do no wrong.  He's got his own slate of original material which is great and then he can cover, Pink Floyd and or Willie Nelson.

He had a 3-night New Year's run at the Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville Kentucky. 2020!
There was a photo of him with a broom in his hand, helping to clean up the venue after the event look at this.
