I admit. I love Taylor Swift’s music. Eilish, I’m still trying to get. Lizzo has catchy songs. Not really my thing but catchy.Thoughts_Arrive said:People actually like Lizzo, Swift, and Eilish here?Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.0 -

Not into Swift too much but Eilish is the most refreshing popular artist that I've heard in years. I cant even put her in a genre. Its like indie, pop, rock, etc.Thoughts_Arrive said:People actually like Lizzo, Swift, and Eilish here?0 -

Whatever it is it suits the tunes. Rappers talk. Some rock singers just shout. Thom Yorke does a mixture of whispering and crooning. I dont need every artist to go full out Michael BoltonThoughts_Arrive said:

Rockism is such an antiquated attitude. If this board can move beyond 1996 and embrace current music, that’s a great thing.Thoughts_Arrive said:

I don't care if it's in the top 40 charts, as long as it good and honest and written by the acts themselves.
Not some manufactured shallow garbage.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -
Eh, even those writing songs are honest musicians. Sad they aren’t marketable, but a jam is a jam.

You ever heard of the band Kiss or the song Mankind. That is textbook bad music right there.LukinFan said:“There is no such thing as bad music. Only good and bad listeners.”Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.0 -

There’s such a thing as shit rock too. Who cares what the genre is or if it’s mainstream? I felt these records were very good.Tim Simmons said:

Thats one reason why i like the kid. Eilish is writing every tune with her brother. They’re a songwriting duo and a live duo. The label isnt forcing the industry hit writers on her. Is she getting major marketing and radio push from her label? Of course. Just like every other artist who ever sold a million recordsThoughts_Arrive said:I don't care if it's in the top 40 charts, as long as it good and honest and written by the acts themselves.

Can you relate to any of her songs but? She's so young.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140
