2019 was the year I fell down the Jerry Garcia Band hole, subscribed to the Neil Young Archives, and re-emerged myself in the history of country music which included a lot Emmylou Harris and Willie Nelson. Not a lot of new music.
Top Three:
Maggie Rogers - Heard It In a Past Life
Sturgill Simpson - Sound and Fury
JS Ondara - Tales of America
The Rest:
Jenny Lewis - On the Line
Lana del Rey - Norman F’n Rockwell
Yola - Walk Through Fire
Vampire Weekend - Father of the Bride
Bruce Springsteen - Western Stars
Country Music, A Film by Ken Burns - The Soundtrack
Lizzo - Cuz I Love You

Third listen of Billie Eilish's album.
It is growing on me. I need to delve into the lyrics to try make sense of them.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -

here’s her newest tune. Kind of a Corduroy type song lyrically.

Thanks dude. I'll check it out the EP.
I cannot see how the lyrics to that new single are Corduroy-like?
I have egg on my face now haha. I love the songs where she sings more than whispers.
I am listening to Lizzo's latest album preview tracks on iTunes to see what the big fuss is about her.Post edited by Thoughts_Arrive onAdelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -
Sorry. Apparently its a very fame-driven/media-criticism tune.Hey man we’re all getting pretty damn old lol. Shes not the only artist where i was like “yeah i dont get this at all. Definitely not for my age group”. Sometimes i end up getting it. Sometimes i dont lol. At least we still have open-ears at this point.0

Always good to be open minded.
I have her EP playing on YouTube.
So far this is the one that has got my attention.

The Glorious Sons- A War on Everything is the best and not really impressed by anything else (Fear Inoculum is good but sounds like the same old Tool)
Too many people sleeping in this band. Very innovative, taking chances, changing styles on each album. It’s refreshing rock and roll!!!Post edited by CC68885 on0
