If you love koalas you might also love our Aussie wombats as well. They are a burrowing animal and cheeky as!!
check this one doing zoomies! all our special wildlife will be doing it tough with the drought and fires and it would be tragic for the planet to lose all the precious species.

Drought, heatwave and fire conditions are seeing koalas looking for water more than ever. Its estimated weve lost thousands now in the bushfire crisis and the aftermath is resulting in survivors starving and dying of dehydration. Koala in aboriginal language means "no drink".. they do not drink water unless they absolutely need it. As they survive solely on gum leaves the gums are losing their moisture and dropping leaves at an alarming rate.

Sure sounds like a major disaster to me I'm sorry to hear about the toll on you folks, on the wildlife, on the nerves. Just terrible. I hope things settle down out there.

Sad situation. I hope wildlife numbers can bounce back. I fear the worst.

I visited port Macquarie koala hospital today!! Many of the burnt koalas were unable to be viewed due to their injuries. Amazing to see so many people there supporting it

I read some people are trying to convince the NZ government to introduce Koalas to NZ. They have enough eucalyptus trees. Might actually be a good idea if they don’t impact the native fauna?!0
