I hear ya!! My kids love her and by default I have heard all of her music and I cannot get into it. I like lots of current music, but for me it just does not click. It all sounds like she's trying to hard to be different/alterantive and because of that, just sounds like it's being put on.pearljammr78 said:Can someone please break the code for me on Billie Eilish. She was a good guest on Howard Stern. But I have tried to get into her music and I just don’t see the hype. She always seems to be singing without putting in any effort. Like she never belts anything out. It’s more like a mumble whisper type singing. It’s sorta catchy but nothing like a Taylor Swift song. I just don’t get it but I wish her nothing but success.I'll ride the wave where it takes me

One of the coolest stats from the year in review thing from Spotify was seeing I discovered over 100 new artists this year.Tim Simmons said:Really? A streaming service is $10 a month and you get all the music in the world.Pittsburgh 2013

I wish Apple Music did a deep stat dive. They just tell you most artist spins, your top 40 songs for the year and top 10 most played albums.

No doubt - Spotify is one of the best things that ever happened to me, music-wise, lol. I don't know how I'd live without it now. It told me that in 2019 I discovered 451 artists!! That number shocked me a bit, but really makes me glad, and grateful for Spotify.drakeheuer14 said:

Also Like Clockwork and Villains, and Egypt Station by McCartney, Joseph Arthur's The Ballad of Boogie Christ and Redemption City, and I think I'll throw both RNDM albums in there while I'm at it- I love RNDM. Andra Day's Cheers to the Fall is great, that Black Pumas album is too, Jack White had a couple great ones, Gary Clarke Jr's latest, The War On Drugs had two beauties, Ryan Adam's 1989 is fantastic (even though it's a cover), Beck's Morning Phase ........... (no PJ in there though. They didn't even come close, sadly, and I admit I am surprised so many have LB in their lists here).Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. There are quite a few artists who can thank Spotify for leading me to spend money on their vinyl and their shows.Thoughts_Arrive said:Tim Simmons said:Really? That’s a good point. If I didn’t have the ability to discover them for free, I wouldn’t buy their stuff or seek to see them live.PJ_Soul said:

I agree. I have discovered so much music that I would not have had the money for buiy just buying vinyl/cd's. And I then go to their concerts and do end up buying some of their vinyls etc if I am really into them.drakeheuer14 said:

I can see where the streaming services can cost artists money, BUT a lot of artists have now embraced the new model and make their money from other resources (touring/social media/merch etc). Very few artists, other than the top tier artists (Ed Sheeran/Adele/Swift etc) , are making big money our of selling physical albumsI'll ride the wave where it takes me

Judah and the Lion was the biggest let down with their most recent album. I mean Folk Hop was awesome and I expected a lot more from them because of it. I don’t think I have revisited them once since the pep talks release.DE4173 said:Alabama Shakes – Boys & Girls

PJ actually has a decent selection of official bootlegs on Apple music. Not everything, but I'd say around 70 full shows ... which is nice.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0

Apple Music is $11.99/Month in Australia. For me, we do a Family subscription, which allows 6 people to have their own access and profiles and that's $17.99/month. I have 3 Teenagers and my wife on it, so that's 5 of us accessing as much music as we like for $18 bucks.
Spotify have the same plans and pricing, but if you sign up now, you get 3 months Individual access for $11.99, then it reverts back to $11.99 per month after that. But there is no contracts, so yo can cancel anytime.I'll ride the wave where it takes me
