It's just an economic model. That's probably a really good forecast when you don't have a lunatic in the office. And there's no way he gets 351. Those states just don't exist.HughFreakingDillon said:Trump a two term president? the moody model (which has only gotten the electoral college wrong once-2016) says it's his to lose:

It's a shame the media treats trump like a contender instead of the fraud he is. They should be dragging him across the coals with investigative journalism.0

aren't they there to report the facts? what you are suggesting falls right into partisan nonsense.CM189191 said:

Yes but they do have to investigate to make sure the facts are indeed facts !HughFreakingDillon said:

Except it doesn't. Reporting facts is never partisan. No investigative journalism really needed as far as Donald Trump is concerned. Most of his atrocities are out in the open. But it's a journalist's mandate to follow leads to sources to verifiable facts that they can report, thereby better informing the citizenry.HughFreakingDillon said:

The shittiest thing happening right now is that journalists are afraid to report too many of these verifiable facts and getting this ridiculous partisan label. That's what's fucking nonsense. WaPo, NYT et al. are going out of their way to dig up what amount to tiny specks of dirt on "the opposition" (e.g. Hunter Biden's business dealings, Elizabeth Warren's abobo story) and to not call a spade a spade (asking "the opposition" ignorant questions such as "would you say that the president is a racist?") to appear more balanced. It's an insult to the profession and detrimental to the nation.
Again, facts are not partisan. And a good journalist is only and always beholden to facts.
 Yours truly,

Reporters exist to discover new facts. Not just report on them with some shiatty analysis.HughFreakingDillon said:

Dems don't have a obvious front-runner and we're a year+ from the election. Of course the incumbent with undiluted name recognition has the edge. People are still getting to know the field.
 Here's the actual report : https://www.moodysanalytics.com/-/media/article/2019/president-election-model.pdf
Spoiler alert : Dems Win if Turnout Is High, same as every US election ever
If reporters wanted to dig a little deeper, they'd make the connection between that statement, and GOP's ongoing efforts for voter suppression, gerrymandering, & outright voter fraud.
Instead it's just easier for the mouthbreathers to digest : "It's a horserace folks! Click here for more!"

my point was not that they shouldn't be doing their jobs as journalists; I am consistently annoyed with the press's inability or outright refusal to hold this sack of shit to account.
it sounded as if CM was insinuating there should be intent to drag him over the coals, not just looking for fact. if I'm wrong, all good.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

John Kasich now calling for impeachment:

it's about time some of these reds started speaking up.
"If Barack Obama had been doing something like this, Republicans would be going crazy," he claimed. "Now it's their own guy doing it. What's fair is fair."
