I lasted on Twitter about a week.  Waste of time.
For me, it's been very useful. been in direct contact with some of my musical heros that way. not many other ways to do that. but, I will admit, I have wasted many an hour on there being drawn into the negativity.
It was also taking too much of my time.  Between news sites, emails, Facebook, a few blogs I occasionally browse and these forums, I already spend plenty of time on-line.  Sometimes I think maybe too much.  As warped and injured as we've made it, the real world out there awaits!
yeah, I spend way more time on social media than I should. I'm on here at work, but at home I'm on facebook and twitter. I guess it's equivalent to the old days of spending a couple hours reading the paper, but it just seems different to me. I also watch very little tv.

when it's nice out, and not mars-like temps, I'm on those way less. But right now, holy shit.
I rarely watch TV as well.

Funny (and OHHH how we digress, lol), I just read Patti Smith's fine book M Train in which she mentions a number of times stuff about her favorite contemporary detective shows.  I've had this somewhat smug attitude about what a waste of time TV is and here's this creative person I admire so much who has made some great music and written some fine books and knows tons about literature and she's... a detective show fan?  We'll I'll be darned!

Yeah I have migrated to Twitter....I used to hate it, didn't understand it.  But damn you can get great information directly from reporters, etc. on there.  They don't post on fb....twitter is kind of the serious news feed and fb is recipes, etc.

The comments on trump and other current events on twitter are hilarious. I like the immediacy of it, but you always have to be careful to what’s acutally true and been vetted. E.g. if you follow Seth Abramson, you can get swept up into thinking trump is going to prison this Thursday.

I like em too. I definately have a different emotional response though. A well written news article on collusion leaves me in a state of ‘well there’s a good chance he’s gone’. With Abramson I’m like ‘THAT MOFO IS GOING DOWN!!!’

I picture him having a whiteboard with pictures, etc. in his house/office that he constantly updates.  He is great at being able to compare something said today vs something said 6 months ago.

After the so called summit today I now see Trump as beyond an *Holier Than Thou* figure, he to me he’s *My Friend Of Misery*......

    https://youtu.be/JXQS1d_aVfo

    You just stood there screaming
Fearing no one was listening to you
They say the empty can rattles the most
The sound of your own voice must soothe you
Hearing only what you want to hear
And knowing only what you've heard
    You, you're smothered in tragedy
And you're out to save the world

    Misery
You insist that the weight of the world
    Should be on your shoulders
    Misery
There's much more to life than what you see
    My friend of misery

    You still stood there screaming
No one caring about these words you tell
My friend, before your voice is gone
One man's fun is another's hell
These times are sent to try men's souls
But something's wrong with all you see
You, you'll take it on all yourself
    Remember, misery loves company

    Misery
You insist that the weight of the world
    Should be on your shoulders
    Misery
There's much more to life than what you see
My friend of misery, my friend of misery

    Misery
You insist that the weight of the world
    Should be on your shoulders
    Misery
There's much more to life than what you see
    My friend of misery

    You just stood there screaming
    My friend of misery

We become his accomplices when we sit back do nothing and say nothing. Similar to what Republicans are doing right now, nothing.

Living here in S. Florida, his county and it being popular with his voters I'm making sure to cast my absentee ballot next year. I hope he's gone by then.

Scaramucci's prediction of a March resignation is STILL possible.

Now that all of the CDC reports appear to now go through the White House it just seems like we are hardwired to self distruct with the handling of this pandemic. It royally sucks down here in South Florida.

He can also endorse products from the Oval Office desk.  What a dumpster fire
