I'm just getting in to Wilco and I'm seeing them on Americanarama soon. Can someone recommend an official boot or two to get me going.

    THanks!

This is mainly a My Morning Jacket bootleg site...but If you look around here:

    http://thesteamengine.net

You can find some GREAT wilco boots...including their set from the AmericanaramA show in Atlanta last Saturday, The "Covers" set at the Solid Sound Festival in North Adams, MA (both of these are on the first page...after the MMJ Boot) as well as ALL 5 nights (Look on page 7 for a link for 4 of the 5 shows, at the bottom of the Riviera show post...the 5th show is on here somewhere too!!) of their 2011 "Incredible Shrinking Tour" of Chicago!!
I'm going to the AmericanaramA show in INDY tomorrow night!!

Loving the solid sound request show. The roadcase series is great, like PJ I wish they would go back and release previous tours. Would love to get a hold of some shows from the summerteeth/yhf/ghost eras.

Wilco's great, but nothing will ever compare to Uncle Tupelo, especially live!

  • Jeff is also playing in Seattle two days after PJ! I just got my ticket to see Jeff. So happy to be seeing both PJ and JT in Seattle! :D

A little bit of a battle with the Largo website turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Tried to grab a single ticket for Jeff Tweedy's show on 12/15 and when it went to process my order, the site crashed. Reloaded the order page and tried again, only for it to crash again. Well, it actually processed and charged me for both orders. A friend was completely shut out so she quickly claimed my extra. :D

Where'd you hear it? Did pre-orders come early, or is there a leak, or some early release deal somewhere?

 Oh boy... I'm just starting to listen to it right now..... I like the first 75 seconds of it anyway. ;) Doesn't sound country at all! I did see Wilco perform on Colbert the other night though, and did think that was very boring. I turned it off before the song was even over.
EDIT: about halfway through now..... I LOVE IT!

Not really that bad, I just think Tweedys been hammering the same formula for several albums now. I think Star Wars was the last Wilco to actually sound like anybody besides him was involved. With the glut of solo material and 2  Wilco albums that sound like it, it’s just too much.
