A few more shows added on the west coast!

I am being a good boy, and just going to the Hollywood Bowl show.....6 shows in 3 countries in 11 months won't be enough, but the travel expenses add-up way too quickly, even for a short-hop to Berkeley or Reno.

oops...they added a show in Palm Springs, and when I checked the band pre-sale, I was able to pull up front row seats, so I had no choice but to go for them! Rules are rules!

    Hey all,

I have just gotten into Wilco. I tried to get into them in the past but it just wasn't happening.
I just went for it and bought a few of their albums.

full albums I got Summerteeth, Wilco, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.
I also downloaded 2 songs from A.M and acouple from a live album called Kicking Television.

What is considered their best albums from these records? Can anyone suggest some good bootlegs?

    cheers!

After many years (about 16) of being a fan, I finally got to see this band last Friday in Newport, RI. It was a fantastic experience. I was only 15 feet from the stage... they played for 2 1/2 hours and played a great variety of songs. Cline's guitar solo for Impossible Germany was unreal... he just went off. For those who have seen them many times, maybe it was nothing unusual, but I was in awe. Another highlight was when Woody Guthrie's granddaughter Sarah Lee joined them for California Stars... it was like a gift from heaven... she's a beautiful woman... looks to be about my age... I was in love that night. And it was a beautiful night... it had rained earlier in the night, but the weather was perfect during Wilco's set. Ideal location for a show too. Tweedy told a few funny stories about seeing the Ramones when he was a teenager in St Louis. The crowd was into it. It was just a really fun night.

Wilco posted a link to a video of their Haldern Pop Festival set on their Facebook page:

Super high quality live recording from our German friends: full set from Haldern Pop Festival 11 August courtesy of WDR and Rockpalast. Highly recommended.

Very cool to see the Rockpalast show!

Jeff is wearing the Wilco Popeye shirt!

I OD'd on Wilco earlier this year....saw them 5 times between October 2011 and January 2012, so I took a bit of a break. Looking forward to seeing them in late September at the Hollywood Bowl!
