[RANT]What's up with these people who come to a ROCK'N'ROLL concert and want to sit down??? I literally had a guy behind me last night tap me on the shoulder and tell me, "I hate to ruin your guys vibe (my wife and I were dancing, as ususal), but the people behind me voted me to be the diplomat to tell you to please sit down." I took one look at the guy and the supposed group that voted for him, and simply told him, "Sorry, but no." Get your ass up and enjoy the show. And most certainly, don't bother a couple that is CLEARLY enjoying the show in their way. I was so pissed. But my wife... Man, I thought I was going to have to hold her back from this guy. Such a buzzkill. It really makes me appreciate the 10c tix that I had from SD and LA1 SOOOO much more. Not much better then seeing the world's best band with the world's best fans, not the weekend warriors that are there just to hear the radio classics. Sorry I ruined your nice padded seat view bro. >:-( [/RANT]
Dude, I'm so sorry to hear about your experience! That sucks, but I'm glad that you and your wife blew them off and enjoyed the show!
I was on the floor, row 13, and I had to deal with the couple in front of me watching the VIP section the whole night instead of the show. Fucking people, the stage is in front of you, who cares about the people in the side areas? AND these were 10clubbers! That was annoying.0 -

I don't understand these people. Why would you come to a PJ show to stare and gawk at celebs? Buy a fucking magazine and stare people. Lame.
As for the show, it was a last minute decision after we had stayed the night in LA on Sunday, drove back home to San Diego, got fortunate to score some tix in the eleventh hour, and get back up there to see my dream setlist. I don't think that the place burning down could have ruined our time there. I just sang a little louder, danced a little harder, and positively vibed after the repeated interruptions from the "sitters". The guy even had the gall to call me a dick 'cuz we wouldn't sit and I still had a GREAT time.
I'm glad that we decided to go. I had to make some sacrifices to make it work, but it was SO worth it.0 -
I just cant stop thinking about last night. I'm watching my 2000 DVD and just reminiscing about the last two nights. How freakin lucky are LA fans to have two nights of awesome PJ performance. Eddie was just like the young, vibrant, not to mention handsome, man I remember from 13 years ago! Matt, Mike, Stone, Boom, and Jeff were off the chain!!!! I really feel that they were at their highest spirits both nights! So many rare and kick ass songs-Man of the Hour, Garden, Last Kiss, Footsteps, Down, Crown of Thorns, Why Go, Release, SOLAT, RITFW, RVM, Porch, and it goes on and on........I think we got to hear everything off Avocado except Parachutes and Army Reserve-Awesome! They played a great selection of Vitology and Yield, especially MFC and Not For You. They played the whole Ten album-except Deep. I'm sure that San Diego was great because I've seen them there before but I don't think that anything can compare to the last two nights we just had in Los Angeles!11/5/93 Indio, CA;11/6/95 SD; 7/13/98 LA; 10/24/00 LA; 10/28/00 SB; 4/1/03 CO; 6/2/03 OC; 6/5/03 SD; 9/2/05 BC; 7/9-10/06 LA; 10/21/06 Bridge; 12/9/06 Oahu; 10/27/07 Bridge; 4/12/08 Eddie; 6/30/08 Mansfield; 9/30/09 Universal; 7/9/11 Eddie; 11/23-24/13 LA; 11/26/13 Oak.;10/22/13 CO0

I went to Sunday & MOnday night shows, And was as usual blown away... I actually cried on Monday night, because out of the 20 shows Ive seen them play... Last night was the first time I heard FOOTSTEPPS LIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The boys have once again emerged and re-invented themselves without ever losing touch with their true selves....This is why Im a PJ fan......we all walk the long road0 -
That sucks about those lame fans. Unfortunately some people shouldnt even be let in the building.
I was lucky both nights with cool people near Me. Last night I was in Loge 12 Row C which is against the railing right above the floor on Mike's side. Probably about 25 feet from Mike. The best seats I've had at a PJ show. Totally blew My mind!0 -
I finally have the strenghth to post after seeing the last 3 shows here in cali. I have bruises all over my legs and after last night, my sides. And i would'nt give them up for the world!! I've read everyone's stories and i'm really starting to get emotional. I took my best friend to these shows and she had only seen pj once before at the Northwest school benefit show in seattle last year. And she was blown away. (I LOVE YOU JEN!!!! SO HAPPY YOU'VE STEPPED OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE
) We are actually trying to get tickets to SF sat night if anyone has any cuz now she's hooked too! I could go on on on about how incredible SD was and how LA 1 & 2 (especially 2!!!!) rocked but everyone who was there already knows!! This has been a crazy roller coaster ride and i just wanted to add my sincere appreciation to pearl jam (and all you fans!). I've never had so much love for a band and we are all so lucky they are still together and making the best music out there!! LONG LIVE PEARL JAM!!!

I agree with you! It never even occured to me to think about celebreties in the audience. Tim Robbins I couldn't care less about because he's a member of the Film Actor's Guild. And yeah sitters are quitters! I stood for all 3 hours of San Diego!Confucious Says: He who buries a man's wife alive, should not expect to sit at that man's dinner table without the subject coming up.0 -
My dream last night was to hear SAD and GARDEN. I almost peed my pants.
I can't believe someone asked somebody to sit down. I mean, where do they think they are, the fucking opera?
This is the first time I've seen PJ two nights in a row - and my friends were right, so worth it. Can't wait for Santa Barbara.
My fav moment - the big guy standing next to my husband who sang (and stood up like all of us did for the whole show cause we're fans -DUH) along with all the songs. His voice wasn't so great, but he wasn't one of those people who sing like - hey, look at me, I know all the words. He seemed like a guy who totally totally loved the band. I always want to stand by somebody like that.
I'm a little over Tim Robbins too. Chris Cornell - that would've been great.0 -
Here's some pics I took. A little heavy on pics of Mike, it was the first time I was so close on his side!

Mickey1794 wrote:Last night was really awesome! A continuation of night 1. Definitely for the Pearl Jam freaks! Casual fans were complaining that last night sucked compared to night 1. They just dont realize how lucky they were to get MFC, Footsteps, Garden, Man of the Hour-are you kidding me-Classic! They played alot of crowd favorites too-Alive, Animal, Betterman, RITFW. Although I would've liked to hear a little Black like I said it was a continuation of night 1 so I can't be greedy. Our 10 Club seats were awesome tonight-definitely closer then last night. We were in section 10 as compared to section 27. But what was up with the security guards in sections 9-11. They looked like they were on a DEA bust! Trying to search people for weed-give me a freakin break-its a concert-get a real job! Buzzkillers! Still had a rockin time anyway! Ten clubbers in Lower Section 10 Rocked! I'm sad because I won't see them the rest of the tour so all of you freaks following them I hope you guys enjoy it double for me too okay! Until we see each other next time-keep on rockin' in the free world!
I was in the second row of Loge 10 (Row DD) and loved the show! Good call though on security, they were NUTS. I was right next to the main tunnel that led off the floor and saw them drag at least 10 people out of the Forum through there.0 -
Maybe this should be another thread but ...... I MET MIKE FUCKING McCREADY in Santa Monica at the Broadway deli. My wife and I got a pic with him and talked with him for a few minutes, although I was shaking like a little girl. That finishes me for this tour and I couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks Pearl Jam , Ten Club and all the "real" rocking fans.0

Dude!! Kickin photos!! I was section E, row 4, not too far back, had a straight shot of the band and my photos are garbage compared to yours. Wicked photos, thanks for the link. LA2, awesome. Freaking awesome time. For those complaining about it, you have nothing to complain about. I don't let lame ass people who want to sit and not dance and move around bother me. I just shake my sweat off on them! SF next! See you guys there!JayStumpf wrote:Here's some pics I took. A little heavy on pics of Mike, it was the first time I was so close on his side!

The Boys (I mean Men) brought it to LA lock and loaded with the new album. I can't think of current band that have created a new album 15 years into being a band that was delivered live so powerfull.
Did we hear every song from ten in LA except Oceans and Deep?
Having see Mother Love Bone live, the tribute was very touching when Eddie looked at Jeff and said Andrew would have enjoyed playing here.
In fact there is an interview with Andrew about talking about how he wants to play the Forum and be a rock star and yell "your mother smells Bad" as an example and having the crowd still go nuts.
I guess my biggest dissapointment was that the floor should have been GA so as hard core pearl jam freaks could have gone all nuts together instead of standing next to a guy with his hands folded half of the show.
I really enjoyed GO and BIG WAVE. I think they could have done a chiller tune after Rockin in a free world. I liked it in the past when at the end of the show they would all stand arm and arm and take a bow. I think they should bring that back.
LOOKING forward to Portland and George0 -

I Did Notget To Attend Night One, But I Thought Nite 2 Rocked!!! I Was Very Pleased With The Set But I Wish They Would Have Played More From Binaural, yield, And Riot Act! I Was Singing Along With Every Song, And Managed To Piss Off The 2 Fat Girls In Front Of Me, Who Seemed To Be There Just Because It Was A Kroq Concert, They Didn't Even Know One Damn Song!!! But I Was Happy With The Set!0

No way!! I work literally across the Promenade from the Broadway Deli - my office is above the rotating sushi place.
When did you meet him?0
