Bound to happen, he only had one place to go. His only hope is that split vote.

    Bernie needs to drop out.
Why would he drop when the only reason he hasn't consolidated all of the votes is because of conservative media?  It's the same reason why Trump doesn't get due credit... the same liberal media.

I believe in different times it was called Lugenpresse (press of lies).

I’m lost. What should Trump get credit for? The economy? We are just getting to where the economy has been effected by Trump policies and the outlook is not looking good. Yes I agree the media is super biased. But this guy deserves no credit unless someone believes dividing the nation and the world is a good thing.
The greatest economy ever in the history of ever.
Oh yea. I forgot about in the history of ever. My bad.

Sanders is going to Ralph Nader this election. He and the rest of the democrats need to focus on removing the Chump administration from office. Whatever it takes. Ride the center line. Unite!!! But egos will get Chump re-elected. Mark my words. Time to start getting flexible because if and when he gets re-elected it’s time to kiss our asses goodbye. Lame duck Trump. That’s fucking scary.

Well I guess we needed a new Democratic Candidates thread since the last one was locked due to the usual....

I like the big drop-off from Biden to Harris. Shows we're getting closer to having the "real" candidates be the ONLY candidates. Looking forward to more people dropping out so we can see which candidates the supporters of Yang/Pete/Booker/Beto/etc. gravitate towards.

"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
  • Cardi B might be one of Bernie's most powerful 2020 allies. Seriously.

Hours before the first debate of the 2020 Democratic primary, Bernie Sanders was preparing in a hotel conference room in Miami. He pored over briefing books and talked strategy with his aides.

Then he got on the phone with Cardi B.

At one point during his FaceTime conversation with the rapper, Sanders posed a personal question: “How is motherhood?”

"Motherhood is good,” Cardi B, who has a 1-year-old daughter, replied. “But it’s tough when you're an artist. It's like a whole two lives that you have to balance out.”

The fact that Sanders chatted about parenting with Cardi B in the moments before one of the most important events in the presidential race is a testament to the oddball alliance the two have developed over the past year. It’s a friendship and political partnership that's drawn the attention of millions of people: Since Sanders and Cardi B unveiled a videotaped conversation this month that they had at a nail salon in Detroit, it has racked up a stunning 22 million views on their social media accounts. That’s more than the 18 million-plus people who tuned into the second night of the June primary debate across three networks, which was the most-watched such event in history.

This is akin to Trump touting the latest Rasmussen poll.

You can't poll a national race with 300 people. The presidential is 50 individual races, and you need to he employing enough people to cover at least 300 people from like every demo. Regardless, though, Biden can go nowhere but down so I'm happy with this.

Sanders, Biden and Warren.  2 old white guys and an old white woman. just not a good direction in my opinion.  I am really afraid it's going to be a trainwreck.  Dems need new younger voices, preferably some who don't promise to give millennials free shit.

I honestly put zero stock in these polls this far out. Wasn't Trump near the bottom of the polling barrel in the beginning?

Yup. And I agree with you. The field needs to be narrowed down considerably and I hope that happens after the next round of debates.

Also, Russia is just starting to ramp up their propaganda campaign for 2020.

This poll would be interesting if it wasn't confined to registered Democrats.  I don't think there's much of a debate that the nominee will effectively consolidate the party vote.  The question is the +/- in favorability of the independent/swing voter.

    So this is quite interesting..
Sanders criticizes Yang's UBI because he is more in support of "guaranteed federal job".  Yang thinks that's unfair because not everyone 'wants' to work for the government.  It would be unfair if we made them work for the government rather than just getting free money.
Look at Yang getting all to the left of the capitalist pig dog, Sanders.
