BUT WE ALL KNOW THE BEST PEARL JAM VAULT WILL BE WHEN NEIL YOUNG RELEASES ONE OF THE 1995 SHOWS AS A NEIL YOUNG ARCHIVE VINYL!

If Ed isn’t singing I don’t want it.

It isn't really Pearl Jam, otherwise.

Enough of the earlier shows?  There's like 10 official bootlegs from 1990-99 and how many hundreds of bootlegs from 2000 on?  I say keep the vault from 1990-99.
    1990-0
    1991-0
1992-2  Vault 1, Drop in the park
    1993-2  Vault 5, Vault 9

    1995-1  Vault 7
    1996-0
    1997-0
    1998-3  Live on 2 Legs, Vault 3, Vault 6

Yes, I've had enough of the earlier shows, like 91 - 94, as in I don't want any more of them as Vaults on vinyl. There is not enough material that early for me - I don't want Vault after Vault with a bunch of the same early career songs on the them. I like more variety. But either way, restricting the Vaults from 90-99 would be really stupid.
Benny, Live at easy street, vault 8, third man records, live on ten legs, let s play two and pj20 isn’t enough for you?
if I counted right that is 7 live records for 1990-99 and 7 live records for 2000 and beyond. (Pj 20 counts as both).  So imo they are doing a pretty good job of mixing it up.
Are these rhetorical questions? No, those aren't enough for me. I don't want any more vaults that are pre-No Code, and want more that are post-Riot Act. I am sick of boots from the early days.
What if it is a no code show? What about a show from 97 that isn’t yield but isn’t no code? How about the Greenville show in 2016 where all of vs is played and philly 2016 where all of ten is rocked out?
      *EYEROLL*
(but I can't say I care for the full albums being played at shows in general. Not with any band. It's not awful, but I'd prefer that it not be done. Full albums aren't formatted for live shows, and I feel that when bands do it)
Agree with full albums being played.  But what about a 96 show?

Anything after August '96 works. ;)

Would have preferred them picking Vaults from all the eras and years, and not choosing a show taking place on the same tour and one week after another Vault-show so soon after that one.

    The same with the 1998-shows.

So, I would have rather have had this VAULT #15 or whatever and have had some 1997, 1996, 2004 etc in between. And some shows that are not from the US.
Agreed. I've had enough of the earlier shows. I'm sincerely ONLY buying them at this point to keep the collection complete (I can't seem to help it even though I want to not do that) - it's been maybe a few years now since a Vault was really really good IMO. That is a bit disappointing. I want some Jack Irons, and more that include at least Riot Act, and some S/T would be nice too..... I know what would make the wait for those eras a lot easier: RELEASE VAULT 2 ON VINYL!!!

Yeah, most are released, but I'm talking about Vault vinyl releases. I just don't want to spin any more early shows. I want to hear more of the catalogue live and on my turntable.

I agree. I want as many official live shows from the 90's as I can get. They've obviously taped all (or most) of the 1998 shows because Live On Two Legs was pulled from several shows. I'd take more of them. The fact that there's none from 1996 thus far is weird. Maybe there's nothing?

Remember though there's a lot of great soundboards from the 90's. An audiophile named JWB remastered fourteen of them in FLAC and MP3 a few years ago and they're my personal "definitive" versions of these shows. Grab them if you don't have them....

Exactly. This is the issue. Why would they release a 2016 show as a vault other than to get it on vinyl?

I just wish PJ did what Bruce does, one archive release a month (no vinyl, just digital and CD-R). But don't get me wrong, I like vinyl. It's just, let's be honest, how many shows they can actually release in this format? Just open the vaults and put it all out there, I say, and this is obviously not doable at all with vinyl releases, considering the fact many sources from the old days are probably incomplete and plagued with flaws due to limitations of the time, or simply just not multitracked. Continue the Vault vinyl tradition with epic and complete (as much as possible) shows, and start doing archival releases if not each month, maybe five or six times a year, I don't think anyone on here would complain with incomplete SBDs if they'd just release them digitally/CD (and priced accordingly). That would be easy money for them, and a lot of fun for us.

I'm definitely in the second camp. I'm just a fiend for good live audio of Pearl Jam. Since I was in 10th grade and came across the Dissident single in a music store. ("A LIVE version of Even Flow?!"). So yeah I just collect audio myself. I've never been way into vinyl. Nothing against anyone who is. I totally get it. I have a vinyl collection, but I don't really buy new ones (or receive any from the Tenclub anymore).

Just upload every sound board tape they have and pay an annual streaming fee. Either give it all to nugs or take it back and do it themselves.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

Enough of the earlier shows?  There's like 10 official bootlegs from 1990-99 and how many hundreds of bootlegs from 2000 on?  I say keep the vault from 1990-99.

definitely focus on the pre 2000 era, I just don't get why people want to shoe horn these vault releases into periods where nearly 100% of the shows were available on disc, download and many currently still available for download.

There will be very little pre 1993 as is, Brett Eliason did not begin multi-tracking shows in earnest until the fall 1993 versus tour, prior to that there are probably a handful of multi-tracks if I had to guess.

There are at minimum probably 6 fall 1993 Spring 1994 still worth releasing, 3 from each I would like to see for sure

    -Dallas 11.12.93
    -UNO 11.17.93
    -Chicago 3.13.94
    -St Pete 3.29.94
    -Rochester 4.7.94
There's a flipside to that coin, why would people wanna shoe horn these vault releases into a period where they had no albums to pick songs from and you just hear Ten and VS over and over.

Releasing two nights from a Bridge School benefit > any concert from 91-94

I'd like unique shows that differ. Regardless of era. But I do want them to cover every era. Including the early stuff.
because I already have every show from 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018 on disc.  Vault 8, I have it, I listen to it, but it was a wasted opportunity, the whole entire tour except for one other one off show was released.  Releasing shows just because they have more diverse sets is of no interest to me just to get it on vinyl.  Waste of time for me.  Want more 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1998.

Enough of the earlier shows?  There's like 10 official bootlegs from 1990-99 and how many hundreds of bootlegs from 2000 on?  I say keep the vault from 1990-99.
    1990-0
    1991-0
1992-2  Vault 1, Drop in the park
    1993-2  Vault 5, Vault 9

    1995-1  Vault 7
    1996-0
    1997-0
    1998-3  Live on 2 Legs, Vault 3, Vault 6
    1999-0
    2000- 72 + Vault 4
    01/02-0
    2003- 73 +  Benny
    2004- 0
    2005- 32 + Vault 8
    2006- 71

definitely focus on the pre 2000 era, I just don't get why people want to shoe horn these vault releases into periods where nearly 100% of the shows were available on disc, download and many currently still available for download.

There will be very little pre 1993 as is, Brett Eliason did not begin multi-tracking shows in earnest until the fall 1993 versus tour, prior to that there are probably a handful of multi-tracks if I had to guess.

It 100% is not. Mirror Ball is a Neil Young album.
That's why it will be a Neil Young Archives release...

AND IT WILL BE THE GREATEST PEARL JAM VAULT YET!
    Dublin 95 is coming
We'll see when. And I've only heard of the video being released (hopefully physical and not just on the NYA website). But hopefully a live album on vinyl will come too. Would rather have the Austria show on vinyl though, because he played Broken Arrow at that show I think...

    What are the points?

The Vic was in 2007, and that was a great and unique show with a great setlist. Me having listened to every show of 2006 or 2008 doesn't negate that fact.

While I bet most of these will be pretty damn similiar and similiar to the two ones from 93 we already got:
    -Berkley 10.31.93
    -Dallas 11.12.93
    -UNO 11.17.93

So how about wanting to get those released digitally instead of clogging up the yearly vaults with five 1993 shows.

(I think they should have focused on getting out one vault from every 90s tour/year though, and skipped the 2000 and 2005 show. With us being starved of quality shows from that decade)

the entire tours save for a show here and there were released from 2000 on.  they are not going to waste time on vault releases for shows already released just to put them on vinyl.

Additionally, we are never going to see a post 1998 show fit only 3 LPs unless they intentionally remove large chunks or choose specifically short festival shows.

So maybe some day they will do 4 - 5 lp releases of a show they felt particularly good about during a tour like Jones Beach 3 2000 or something, but until such time, releasing shows from latter years just to address time periods as I said, and it is just my personal preference, has no interest to me.

I am stoked for this release and as long as they keep picking shows that are less "Soldier Field" (ie one we all had in pretty awesome digital quality) the older shows will interest me a great deal.

I am extremely excited for this one and fully expect that Vault 10 will hit a great show from 1996, currently the only year that does not have an official release in which they toured extensively and were multi-tracking.

I would definitely welcome them doing more digital/Cd only vault releases from the early years, but again the idea of a vault vinyl for an already released show is a big meh to me.

Where in my post do I talk about already released shows?

I am fully aware this by all signs is not tenclubs intention.

The show I did reference - The Vic 2007 - was not released before. The 2005 show was to my knowdlwge not either(?)

I think they released they picked Soldier Field and the LAS vegas show to underut the ”grey area bootlegs” existing of it.

I Wonder If vaults Will be the only releases for older shows on vinyl. Or If they, like e.g Nirvana, Will release some 90s show that perheps was videotaped on both BD and vinyl in the future.

I doubt it would ever happen but it would be sweet to have a vault to represent the bridge schools.  Something like:
Side A/B: 11/1/92: Footsteps, jeremy, black, alive, daughter, angel, I am a patriot
Side C/D: 10/2/94: wash, not for you, immortality, elderly, daughter, black, bee girl
Side E/F: 10/20/96: sometimes, elderly, corduroy, off he goes, nothing man, daughter, footsteps, porch, around the bend
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

I think it should be a wide release and not a vault with the generic black cover. A box set with all the nights (or all the appearances, but mixing shows from both nights). And the proceeds going to the school.

And why skimp out and not include the times after 96? Stop being like this. haha.
    :)

Side E/F: 10/20/96: sometimes, elderly, corduroy, off he goes, nothing man, daughter, footsteps, porch, around the bend
I think it should be a wide release and not a vault with the generic black cover. A box set with all the nights (or all the appearances, but mixing shows from both nights). And the proceeds going to the school.

And why skimp out and not include the times after 96? Stop being like this. haha.
    :)
I was thinking three records per vault.  I guess divide up the rest anyway you want: 99/01/03/04/06/10/14

Bruce and Metallica have released their bridge shows. Would be nice choices for PJ vaults.  The 99 and 01 shows were great too. All of theme really.
