It seems a bit odd to me that we had these early debates (a year and a half away from 11/3/20!) and all this focus on the candidates and now kind of a lull.

1.) Good shit talker. He will do well against Trump in debates
    2.)His hair.
    3.)Populist
4.) Weed. Lots of people who know nothing about politics and would never vote dem, like Bernie and they associate Bernie with legalization.

    Just some random thoughts.🤪

Bernie will be painted and perceived as a hard core socialist. Team Trump Treason wins.
They're going to do that with all of them.
But Bernie and Warren are way more easily painted with such a brush and having it apply to them.
”You are a Damn dirty soalicist” is as easily said whoever it is.

Easily said but harder to stick to some candidates. My retort to Tesm Trump Treason would be, “you’re a sexual assaulting, racist, white nationalist, obstructor of justice, treasonous traitor.” So there.

Everyone makes mistakes when speaking. But Biden is the fucking gold medal winner.

He is such a creepy dude that appears to be aging 5 years every time he speaks. I sure hope the dem primaries get this right....it’s gotta be the most important primary in my lifetime.

I get the sense that part of his issue is he cares about helping people and not wanting to over promise.

Its much easier to speak publicly when you dont give a flying phuck about your accuracy.

It's why Donny does so well, and why the debate attacks on Biden look so good on live TV

I understand what you are saying but I don’t think this is true with Biden. He struggles and it’s getting worse. Time has caught up to this career politician. I hope he’s not the nominee...but the Dems could do worse. If he wins the nomination he sure as shit better get his act together and win the general election.

Cincy, I think you are way off base judging Biden.

Are you aware Trump was visiting the Ohio shooting victims and referred to the tragedy in Toledo and never corrected himself?

Does trump need to get his act together? Is he too old perhaps? Was that even covered? Biden corrected himself immediately and needs to get his act together?

For decades the right wing propoganda machine has amplified Democrat speaking mistakes and minimized those of Republicans.

If those three are the choices, I don't like them.
    Two screamers and a bumbler.

Hey, better than Donny and they will have my vote.  (But I think they all stink as choices - the two unrealistic, idealistic, dreamer-screamers especially)

Did you comment on the Trump "toledo" mistake? Is he a bumbler? Are you familiar with his Toledo mistake? Who he made it to?

Much bigger than Biden's gaffe, and not even covered in the news.

This is the same uphill battle Democrats always have with the media. And even with folks on a significantly liberal band's  site.

I don't disagree with you.  I'm trying to think of the best person for the job, as well as someone that can beat Trump.  There is no end to the criticisms I have for that jackhole.
We are not going to change the minds of trump supporters.  Have to get the best possible team to lead the country out of the Trump Darkness and into the light.
My opinion is that it is not those oldsters.
I'll vote for them if they are the only choice.

Just like Trump is getting away with being a sexual assaulter. I think Bernie would get away with being called a socialist - because he could say "add democratic before that - AND WE ARE THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WHO DOESN'T GUARANTEE HEALTH CARE TO ITS PEOPLE."

So I don't know if it would be tougher for him than lets say Harris who would spend her time being all "I am not a socialt" "OH YES YOU ARE!" "No, im not. I promise I am not. I love capitalism"

    My feeling.

A good idea is worthless if the conditions aren’t right for it to exist/thrive within (both when you say it and when Bernie says it). If you want to add value, I’d be curious to hear from you about what changes and system reforms the US requires to get to the point where they can offer free Insulin like in Sweden. Unless I’m mistaken, I haven’t seen these details logically provided by Sanders or Warren (and my apologies if I’m mistaken).

All live-saving medicines should be free for those who can not afford.  It's called being compassionate.  But for a US drug company to sell it for 300/vial is just greed, pure greed...

That would be true.  I can tell you $15 is not going to get you shit where I live.

That’s about what me and my “wife” make hourly. I work about 20+ hours bi weekly and have some health and other benefits. It’s doable in my area, but can be tough, especially with kids.If it wasn’t for my ot it would be much harder and if I was smarter with my money it would very doable, but I’m a moron , and I like to make things harder on myself, lol. We were also fortunate to get a house on the cheap during the recession when everyone was getting foreclosed on. I think in certain areas $15 makes sense, but maybe not in others. IDK.

We have Medicaid in this country for the poor.  I don't know who or where these vials would cost 300, but it wouldn't be for the poor.  I'd love more real details on this.  My guess is this either the price for someone who has chosen not to buy insurance I'm Obamacare or someone where that 300 is part of the insurance co pay/ co insurance that must be met before payouts in many employer plans.  For example. im responsible for the first 2k of medical then everything is basically free after that.

Do you think Eddie believes that people working full time in the service industry in the US (as in a fast food restaurant) should earn a livable wage?

  • Former Vice President Joe Biden and independent Senator Bernie Sanders, both currently competing for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination, would trounce Trump by eight points in the popular vote, according to the poll.

Biden and Sanders earned the support of 50 percent of U.S. registered voters, SurveyUSA found, while Trump lagged behind at 42-percent support.

The poll was conducted over the first five days of August, just after the Democratic Party's second presidential debates in Detroit, Michigan.

Candidates such as senators Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris edged out Trump in potential runoffs, but their leads weren't wide enough to overcome the margin of error. South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg was measured at 42 percent, two points behind Trump in a potential matchup.

Among critical demographics within the electorate that were responsible for massive Democratic gains during the 2018 midterms, Trump's opponents appear to be decisively prevailing.

Biden leads Trump by 24 points among suburban women, and the other candidates measured all lead in this same demographic by over 10 points.

Sanders comes out atop the Democratic pack among Independent voters, who prefer him to Trump by 10 points. Biden is the only other candidate preferred to Trump by Independents.

Love it. Thanks for sharing. I am a person who appreciates when people use their platform for what I believe is the greater good, and one of the main reasons I love PJ. It adds substance to their art.
Do you think Eddie believes that people working full time in the service industry in the US (as in a fast food restaurant) should earn a livable wage?
Yes. I believe most candidates support some sort of minimum wage increase. I wonder what that would mean for people like myself who make that already. Will may pay go up? Not much I bet. In fact it would probably make it harder for me to get a raise. I also worry about how that would inflate prices on goods and services. Seems it’s going to make things more expensive. I feel like tackling healthcare costs for middle class and lower middle class, or people just above the qualifying line for Medicaid or Medicare, would be a more appropriate policy to bring forward as it relates to economic security. I am not so much worried about accessibility as I am affordability.
