The terrible parts of Baltimore are in the city, not the county.  There are bad parts in the county like Dundalk, but if you're talking about like West Baltimore,  that's city.

yeah, but the city is part of the county isnt it?. the county admins that stuff, Sec 8 , welfare etc. so thats what the article focused on being they are the authoratative body.

No they are separate.  It's why the city is so poor today,  they don't get any of the tax money generated by the huge taxpayer base in the county.

There is no doubt Trump has to work on his delivery, but lets face it...that will never happen.    I also doubt that Trump will ever get credit to the "Not My President" crowd for some of the good things he has done or will do for the country.

honest question and not trying to argumentative out of the gate: what has he done that you think is good for the country.     Sure, just off the top of my head.....Getting tough on immigration , awesome economic growth , crazy increases in unemployment specifically for minorities and woman, First responders and military personnel have a President they feel supports them, imposing Tariffs on China who have been ripping us off for decades, Travel bans for certain countries, keeping Guantanamao Bay open, Increases in Military Budgets, and simply trying to correct all the things Barrack Obama messed up for this country.... 

well we'll have to disagree that most of those things are positive things. 

tough on immigration: obama gets blamed by the right as being the deporter in chief. but he was lax on immigration. which is it? 
awesome economic growth: riding obama's wave
crazy increases in unemployment: see above
first responders and military feel they have a president that supports them: why, just because obama criticized a few bad cops, he didn't support them as a whole?
tariffs: TARIFFS. DON'T. WORK. all it does is increase consumer costs. 
travel bans: I don't even know what to say to that. 
increases in military spending: your military spending should be shredded

I honestly have no clue why so many on the right think Obama messed so many things up. most experts put him near the top of best presidents. but the right hates him for "some" reason. "obamacare was a failure". ok, so the rollout sucked and many people had issues with their insurers. at least the guy tried. I suppose no healthcare and taking out a mortgage to have a simple operation is a great alternative.

Immigration problem has gotten significantly worse since he took office.
Economic growth is on par with the previous 8 years despite huge tax cuts to the rich (last year's 3%+ has been downgraded to the 2% range).
The first responder and military thing is just merely your opinion. Impossible to know what they all think.
Tariffs are a tax on us and have thus far produced no results, except for hurting farmers, as evidenced by Trump's own government bailing them out.
You're happy about travel bans? Huh?
Guantanamo Bay....I guess you were happy with how Obama kept it open to?
You're happy we're spending more money on the military?


I guess it boils down to you're happy with travel bans, more spending on the military and Guantanamo Bay not being closed.

Correct. But it encourages domestic manufacturing or sourcing from other locations.

Im not 100% behind them nor against. But for people that birch about losing jobs to other low cost poles...then they complain about tariffs...seems a bit crazy to me.

Short term is consumer pain ($). Long term can be different. 

It creates higher price consumer goods in the states.  That's the end result for us.  Look at how inexpensive goods are today, as a percentage of disposable income.  The easiest example is televisions.  A 24 inch tv was more expensive in the 80s than a 50 inch today,  not even adjusting for inflation.  This is the result of free trade,  eliminating taxes on imports.

That's a losing argument because people start complaining about the low wages that the TV employees make...

Those wages are in foreign countries and precisely what you negotiate in free trade agreements.  A key part are minimum labor standards.  

The States cam bre a manufacturing country again,  but two things must occur..

Consumers must be willing to pay 3x what they do today for the same product. 
We must be willing to be isolationist in trade.  No one will buy our exports.   

The chances of these happening are low,  therefore the tariffs are counterproductive.

The tariffs on China should be permenent...the stuff is too cheap.  We need to drive the price of goods up so people start to think long and hard about whether they need a new cell phone after 2 years or maybe it can wait a few years longer...not too mention ALL THE DOLLAR store crap...
