Joe is great as a host. The Craig Wedren and James Maddock episodes are really interesting. Looking forward to the Dave Catching one he recorded. I subscribed to his Patreon to throw him some support.
I guess he's going to perform Bubblegum front to back at a couple of shows in Europe this spring.

Me too, the fans in Europe are fortunate when it comes to Lanegan touring. Just hope a US tour, with a Boston date, is going to be announced shortly.
I missed him last time when he played the Sinclair, but his last few shows at Brighton Music Hall & the Paradise have been fantastic.
Per usual, that Sinclair show was fantastic. The full band he had behind him was very talented. Of the many times that I have seen him live, that most recent show was the most talkative for him in between songs. I think that was partly because he was dating the keyboard player.
The show was a good sized crowd, but I always wish that he had a larger audience. It is criminal more people are not aware of him and his immense catalogue. On the other hand, the fact that he is under the radar allows for those intimate shows. And he remains the only artist that I have encountered who takes the time after every show to meet the fans.

Definitely! He’s so prolific, and it’s almost always high quality. He rarely puts a foot wrong. Somebody’s Knocking was my favourite album of last year so I’m really looking forward to his book and the new record.
I get what you mean about the crowd sizes, but it does tend to make for a very intimate, personal feel to his shows, and he’s always so nice when you meet him afterwards.
