Oh god yes. My favourite live singer and the band he's put together are pretty good. The latest album is fantastic.

The support band 'Creature with the Atom Brain' are really good too. I'm seeing him next month for the third time this year.

You're in for a great treat my friend! ;) I saw him with Isobel Campbell in London on February 15th 2011 and with his band in Athens on April 5th 2012. Two of the best concerts I've ever seen.

I totally agree about Creature with the Atom Brain, great support.
I thought Lyenn was really good too... Very Jeff Buckley/Chris Whitley-ish...

He sounds just as good live as he does on his albums. Amazing. :)

I feel he could work on his stage presence quite a bit, but even then, his sound makes up for it.

It's funny about Lanegan's stage presence. On the one hand he isn't chatty or expressive. Doesn't engage the audience very frequently. Mostly just stands at the mic stand with his hands on the mic and sings. BUT as you point out his vocals are so commanding that his presence is definitely felt. It's funny that when he was doing Gutter Twins with Greg Dulli, the two were polar opposites. Lanegan was stoic, and Dulli even cracked jokes about trying to get him to smile. But even with Dulli's charisma and banter I found myself focussed on Lanegan for some reason. He is intense.
