    Its a limited item though. Like a poster.  The Vaults are pressed to order.  No matter what time it goes on sale a lot of time zones are missing out.  Maybe 10c could do these at 9pm est?  Idk.  Then the European fans will surely miss out.  Theres no real answer

    It's guaranteed sales for 10C, and everyone gets a chance.
    So your real issue isn’t the time it went on sale, it’s that it wasn’t pressed to order? I can understand that argument as it certainly makes more sense than changing the on sale time zone. 
    Exactly. We can't do anything about the time difference, and like I said earlier, it will always be early for someone.
    It just seems like it would make more sense for this to be available for longer so everyone gets a shot at it. We've been talking about it on here for months so 10C know the demand is there.

    Not more sense then just pressing 3,000 or how many and being done with it.  I’d say we are lucky they do that for the vaults but to aske them to do it for all limited releases is pretty ridiculous

    I say the following as constructive input vs. as complain-y whinging ...

    Knock out two common Ten Club complaints with one Stone and offer this type of thing to Analog tier members only.

    Would keep more people in the Analog tier (good for Ten Club) and would be a nice vinyl reward for those who stick with Analog. Press the same number of LPs as there are Analog tier members and if people don’t claim/purchase after a week then release a batch to the reg’ler folk in the Club. Don’t even need to do it every year. A keen rarity on vinyl once in a while would make the Analog tier even more appealing than it was with the Xmas 45. 

    To those who got one: If you spin it, I hope it’s great. If you sell it, let the market bear what it will. Y’all aren’t being immoral. Annoying perhaps, but not immoral.

    Forgive if I’m wrong but there was no indication this would be limited.  I remember the newsletter stating that there would be a 10c edition.  That’s all it said.  Nothing about colored version or limited.  I took that to mean they would be selling something that all 10c members would have the ability to purchase.  

    As said so many times on this forum for a band that claims to love vinyl they sure make it difficult for their fans to actually get vinyl copies of their releases.  They didn’t just climb out from under a rock and can claim ignorance about the fact that all this limited crap just causes flippers to charge exorbitant prices for their stuff.  Obviously it just doesn’t bother them because they can stop this.  It’s very easy.

    Yes i’m assuming so. I figure thats why they sold theirs on Ebay before releasing the rest.

    Majorly bummed I missed this, was checking routinely but of course, today had to be the day my hands were full.  Sucks we had to wait so long just to be shut out.

    Especially when you can go on Ebay and already see the flippers....

    They didn’t say limited but they did say exclusive, which one of the more popular guesses as to what makes it exclusive was color vinyl. They also sold a couple on eBay already, so we’ve known for a while they were red vinyl. They never indicated limited but it was a RSD release, which are always limited. And they actually did a huge run considering. Ten Club did this for the members as an above and beyond complement to RSD.
    We know there are 12,000 of these records out there between US RSD, Euro RSD, & 10C. The resale market will be saturated and prices will come down. Be patient, and watch for good deals. You’ll find one.

    There is no reason to keep it that limited when they know fans will buy it. Period.

    People skewing their reality to defend Pearl Jam rather feeding into the "limited edition collectors" bullshit frenzy than making as many fans as possible happy and getting the chance.

    And in what way is the whole nature of RSD "limited"? The whole nature of RSD is to support and get people into record stores.

    People really need to stop taking how things happen to be as a godgiven rule about how it must be.

    I like this and agree fully.  My thoughts are that by now, most people that [try to] buy PJ merch/music know how hard it can be get things, and to me, that's part of the fun, and I don't disagree with a business model that keeps up such a frenzy.  It keeps up engaged.  I've missed out on plenty, got lucky on some, overpaid for things on the secondary market as well.  I'm fortunate in that I have a desk job and can be on the forums near constantly.  I realize not everyone is in the same boat, and that there are certainly people that manage to get every little fucking PJ thing in the world, but hopefully the majority of fans get a few cool things along the way.
